I loved my stay at Merkeza. Tedi (the manager) and his family went all out to make my stay great. Tedi arranged excellent guides for me and arrangements I needed. The location is ideal (centrally located) and I walked to the rock churches. The room was comfortable with a great (including morning sunrise) view and a tasty breakfast. I highly recommend!!! I also recommend my guide he arranged (Indie - he was so great: +251 93 237 1752)!!

Everything. The views are amazing from your room. Very good breakfast. It's the best place in Lalibela to stay. We didn't use the swimming or sauna because we didn't have time, but that it's a plus. Rooms are big, very friendly staff. It's not near the churches , but don't worry... You will need to take a tuc tuc anyways and it's better to be a bit far in this little gem. 100% recommend... Enjoy the sunset or sunrise from your terrace!
