Wonderful little town. Safari centre has many activities to do, would recommend cross country skiing if you want a cheap option as most of the other activities are quite expensive. Two shops to buy groceries but they do not sell wine or hard liquor to would recommend bringing some with you. Everything is within walking distance so very easy to get around. Overall a great place to experience winter in Finland and to see the northern lights.
We had a very pleasent week We are very happy that we manged to see the northern lights We were a little bit disappointed from the cross country ski tracks as there are not many and the condition of the tracks was not so good and even difficult at some points especially where snow mobiles cross We enjoyed very much the juutua trail
A wonderful place to catch the Northern Lights. Breathtakingly beautiful. You are surrounded by nature and an absolute quietness. It is a perfect getaway. Getting around is a bit difficult but it doesn't pose such a problem if you enjoy long walks by the forest.
The perfect place for a winter holiday. The rooms with private sauna are a must. All the safaris - huskies, reindeer, snow mobile - are well organised with cold weather gear provided and the guides are so friendly and make everything such fun. Even saw the Northern Lights! Hotel Inari is in an excellent location right on the lake with beautiful views from the dining room and great breakfasts and dinners with good choices of local foods. The pub has a fully stocked bar and yummy pizzas and hamburgers in a relaxed surrounding. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Inari is a village which has a large area but very few people. The center (or if you prefer, downtown) consisted of 3 hotels, one market, a souvenir shop (very nice by the way) and one restaurant. Very low traffic, excellent destination during winter for relaxation.
We were there in the off season just before Christmas. Beautiful scenery fantastic for hiking, it was snowing when we were there and it was just beautiful. Inari is very small so easy to walk around. We ate in the hotel and the dinner was just delicious, fresh salmon and Arctic char caught in the Lake. The Sami museum was brilliant, extremely informative and thoroughly enjoyable, a must see.

The host is very friendly and helpful. He picked up us at the bus stop so that we need not carry the heavy luggage. Thank you for his reminder of the northern lights, otherwise we would have missed it. We walked to the lakeside not far away from Green House, and we were so lucky to see the northern lights. Thank you very much!😊😊 The house is comfortable and well equipped. It is centrally located, 5 minutes walking distance to supermarket and Hotel Inari, where you can find activities, lunch and dinner. It takes about 10 minutes walk to the Siida Museum which is worth visiting.
