Stayed in a sauna studio cabin with my son. Cabin was new and very clean, friendly staff, easy check-in, extra comfy beds, air-conditioning. Sauna was pretty small and the kiuas was super big but it was just okay for two people. Would definitely stay again, perfect in every aspect to relax after a week-long hiking trip.

There are 3 similar villas close to each other in a beautiful forest and within a very short walk from the lake. The villa had absolutely everything we needed and it was beautiful and confortable. We saw beautiful northern lights 3 nights out of 5 right from our front door, with amazing views from the nearby lake. The villa actually looks way better in reality than in the photos! Our December stay at Villa Paadar was truly unforgettable and exceeded all our expectations. Nestled in a serene, snow-covered landscape, the villa offered an unparalleled combination of luxury, privacy, and comfort, making it the perfect destination for a winter retreat. The peacefulness of the secluded location allowed us to fully disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature. The villa itself was immaculate and thoughtfully equipped with high-quality amenities. The electric sauna was a highlight—perfect for warming up after exploring the icy surroundings—and the outdoor jacuzzi on the deck was absolutely breathtaking. Relaxing in the bubbling hot water, surrounded by a quiet forest blanketed in snow, was a surreal experience. It felt like a scene straight out of a winter postcard, and we spent hours just soaking in the stunning views and crisp air. The interior of the villa was just as impressive. The attention to detail made it feel warm and welcoming, from the beautifully decorated Christmas tree glowing in the window to the cozy fireplace that created a perfect ambiance. It truly felt like a home away from home, but with a luxurious touch. Every corner of the villa was spotless, and the furniture and decor were of the highest standard. One thing that stood out was the hospitality of the host. Their regular, friendly check-ins ensured that we had everything we needed and felt completely taken care of throughout our stay. This level of attentiveness added a personal touch that made our visit even more special. That said, the villa is quite remote, which is part of its charm, but it’s essential to have a car. Inari, a quaint village about 27 minutes away, has a few restaurants, a souvenir shop, gas stations, and grocery stores. For more extensive options, Ivalo is about an hour’s drive. We recommend stocking up on supplies on your way to the villa to fully enjoy the peaceful seclusion once you arrive.

I had a wonderful stay at the Wilderness Hotel (Inari) and would highly recommend it, especially to solo female travelers. From the moment I arrived, the reception staff were warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. They were happy to share local insights, activity suggestions, and practical tips, which made my stay feel both easy and well-supported. The breakfast/dinner buffet was a real highlight, offering a generous selection of fresh, high-quality options in a relaxed and inviting setting. It was the perfect way to start/end the day. The facilities were clean, comfortable, and very well maintained, with a strong sense of calm and care throughout the property. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and at ease at all times — the atmosphere was welcoming without being intrusive, and the hotel struck a great balance between comfort and simplicity. The staff/guides (Mikko/Reeta/Inga/David/Sofia/Julia - to name a few) were all amazing ensuring everyone (especially for the activities) experienced their own level of satisfaction as a whole group, without compromising any one person's experience. They calmly and patiently answered questions and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a high quality experience. I was lucky enough to experience the Auroras two nights in a row during the Aurora Camp and Snowshoeing activities! Overall, a lovely experience with attentive service, excellent amenities, and well maintained environment - I'm planning to come back during the summer!

Inari is a little place, surrounded by amazing forests and...

Inari is a little place, surrounded by amazing forests and lakes. It is certainly a must if you want to get to know Saami culture better. It also perfectly fits for those, who like nature and long walks. Although it is small, you can find pretty many activities there - from taking a boat trip in Inari lake in the summer period, to visiting Side museum and doing northern light hunting in winter. PaPaNa pub is also a must to visit.

We went at end of March, still plenty of snow and the lake...

We went at end of March, still plenty of snow and the lake is completely frozen but temperatures around 0. Was ideal for the kids who spent days in the snow! We saw the northern lights (had to stay up till 2am for a very lucky gap in the clouds but was worth it). The Sami museum there is excellent and we did some guided tours, was fascinating to see the Sami culture and way of life past and present.

Great place to visit, i think a lot of people just go to Rovaniemi to see the lights and do activities etc and it too is a great location, but Inari had a more small town vibe and better cultural information. I especially loved visiting The Sámi Museum. Go to both places :)

Great place to watch norther lights.

Great place to watch norther lights. There is a fantastic Saami museum - Siida with big indoor and outdoor exhibition. From here you can go for a hike to Otsamo hill and Pielpajarvi wooden church. In summer you can also go on a cruise around lake Inari. There are also local companies offering activities like husky sleeging or fishing.

We went on a snowmobiling trip and a dog sledding trip. We liked both but really enjoyed the dog sledding more. The cabins on the lake at night, when the northern lights came out, were perfect. Yes it was cold but we could go in an out of the cabins and take pictures as the northern lights waxed and waned. Truly a fabulous adventure that cannot be replicated at a hotel.

The location was great, right off the lake, a short walk to the Sami cultural museum (definitely go), and a market right across the street for any other things you might need. The restaurant was great, which is good because there isn't much else to choose from in town. The hotel also has a nice selection of excursions and activities with gear to borrow. We did the aurora hunting excursions with snowmobiles/sleds and the guide was very helpful. Arranging for transit to and from the airport was easy via the website.

We stayed here for three nights. We arrived in the evening and the reception was still there (8 a.m until 8 p.m) which was nice. We booked the Panorama Cabin. The beds were comfy and the Village is 5 min walking to Inari Centre. The Cabin had good heating and was always warm. The View of the Lake Inari is really cool and you can even walk on it and can whatch even Tours pass by so you always informed what's going on (Aurora Hunt for example)

This is really a brand new hotel with all facilities new. We only stayed one night and the breakfast was generous. It has good location. The hotel is right on the side of Inari Lake and there is also a unique sauna by the lake.
