Young, buzzy city - feels like a real discovery. Alvar Aalto Museum is good if you are interested in design with lots of his buildings around too and the lake is a lovely walk/ run. Some nearby attractions too, so you need a car to make the most of this area. Jyvastyla was a great surprise, we visited the Aalto museum, which was excellent. We walk to the University of Jyvaskyla, very impressive and beautiful. We could walk in to the lecture halls, libraries, class rooms. Many restaurants and cafes. I would go back once more to see the city center and galleries.Guest review byRaquelFinland

We rented this house with a group of colleagues during a busy exhibition week in nearby city of Jyväskylä instead of an insanely priced hotel, and it worked well for our use. 20min drive to the city and far away from any noise or distractions. Plenty of room in the house, at least for 3 people, and a nice sauna. The owners were welcoming and responded to inquiries fast.
