Nadi is a transit hub.
Nadi is a transit hub. Anyone visiting the South Pacific countries must stop by this city. It's not a choice but compulsion. The adjacent Wailoaloa beach is nice. The food in Sailor's restaurant is nice... It's safe to walk around..

I ruined my trip by not applying sunscreen and getting a terrible sunburn on my legs. This required me to go to the hospital for treatment. The Hospital was right across the street from my hotel and they treated me very well there. It was a highlight of the trip. Unfortunately, when a hospital visit was the highlight of the trip... it was a bad trip!

The town is buzzing and farmers market is pretty good but it’s not the place to be independent - difficult to find fresh produce. Would recommend staying in an all inclusive resort not Airbnb etc unless only a short stay. No beachside bars etc. Dont expect to experience local culture (we looked hard and travelled far!). The people are super friendly though!

Every time my family and I visited nadi we had such a memorable experience. The town has a great mix of local charm and modern convenience. The people are genuinely friendly and always ready with a warm "Bula!" smile. The atmosphere is relaxed, and you can really feel the island spirit everywhere you go.
Nadi market is always full of colour and life a great place to try tropical fruits and chat with locals.
For Beach lovers if you crave the white sandy beaches then you need to book a day trip to one of the many nearby islands for that tropical paradise oasis. If you're not so fussed like I am, then look no further because Wailoaloa beach is just around the corner. The name Wailoaloa means dark water due to the colour of the sand which is black.
Perfect place to just chill and catch the sunset.
Speaking of white sandy beaches,, nadi has also has a great base for exploring other parts of Fiji. Especially the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands, which are easily accessible by boat. The airport is close by, which makes travel convenient.
Overall, Nadi is a wonderful mix of culture, hospitality and tropical beauty. Weather your'e here for adventure or just to unwind, you'll find it easy to fall in love with this place, called Fiji.

After a terrible experience with our first hotel in downtown, Airport Ace Hotel we’re nice enough to book us in at the last minute. The manager & staff were very helpful, always available for service when needed. After a few issues with 2 of the rooms the manager did not hesitate to upgrade us to a proper room with working toilet, lights and proper view of the mountains. she was very helpful.
Also enjoyed having aircon on everyday, much needed due to Fiji weather.

Good mixture of being close to the beach and Nadi.
It captured the Fiji vibe - didn't just feel like you were in a western setting.
Great beach, relaxed vibes with bbqs and also local artists performing by the beach. There was a duo (couldn't remember their names) but the female singer was phenomenal. Imagine acoustic guitar, amazing vocalists while you enjoy a dinner by the beach.
Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable.

Stayed here for one night when landing in Nadi before heading to the Yasawa Islands early next morning, perfect for a couple in our late twenties. We stayed on a Sunday when they had a live singer and fire show on in the evening which was great. Right on the beach but unsure what else is around the area as our stay was brief. Staff are kind and attentive, and are on Fiji time! Room was clean and big enough for the 2 of us.

I didn’t want to stay at my family’s place as I needed my own privacy with air cons. Didn’t want to be a burden on my family as I need air con on full time in my room.
This hotel had excellent air con as it was extremely hot in fiji. I also wanted my own privacy which I got at the hotel.
Recommend this to others.
