The setting of the home was gorgeous, slightly raised offering a commanding view over the fjord, and the house was fantastic!! Exceeding my expectations. It was very large a full three-bedroom home and was designed with such personality and warmth. This was our favorite place of accommodation in our weeks travel of the Faroe Islands. Our only disappointment was that we never got to meet the host as he was out of the country, but he sounded for caring and warm on the phone.

It's a quiet place where you actually can't wait to come back after a full day of visiting and adventures. And I think this is telling you all. The dramatic black beach is the other place that calls to you. It's 2 minutes far from home and the feeling is that you have your own beach in the morning and in the evening. It's a fairy tale where I hope I will come back again. An absolutely special and authentic place. The house is a gem that takes you back to a calmer world. Such wonderful hosts. Thank you Haraldur, I will never forget my 43's birthday ❤️

Had a nice kitchen with great views out to the sea from the window. Room was spacious and comfortable. WiFi was very good as well. Location was good too as it was close to the Mykines ferry as well as buses to Torshavn.

Fantastic cottage in a wonderful location. Located very near the Vagar airport, it provided ready access to many of the best hikes and natural sites in the area. The facility was well furnished, very clean and immaculately maintained.

    Not so easy to get around the islands by public bus - you...

    Not so easy to get around the islands by public bus - you always need to go via the capital, so day trips are tricky to organise. Vestmanna is a sweet, relaxing, genuine mid-sized "village" - the best thing to do is just walk, enjoy nature, make contact with people. It is relatively economical. The bird-cliffs are the main attraction (visit by boat).

    Quite typical Faroese town: small and quiet but at least one OK grocery and two restaurants. Also distillery (!) and harbour where you can get boat trips to see birds etc. Vestmanna, and Faroe Islands in common, are not yet spoiled by tourists, and all people were friendly.

    Cute and peaceful town, pretty good to make your own way...

    Cute and peaceful town, pretty good to make your own way through the islands using public transport or driving. Attractions there such as Vestmanna cliffs tour and couple of hiking routes turned out to be popular and really interesting. A few restaurants can be found in this village although opening times should be checked first.

    Good place to stay in Vestmanna.

    Good place to stay in Vestmanna. Close to the shop and the tourist info + the boat harbour for bird watching tours. Helpful and friendly people. The house is easy to find and there was free parking and nice, talkative neighbours. It doesn't matter how rainy or windy the weather is, the house is warm and there is hot water in the shower. Easy to drive and walk everywhere.
