Our hostess / concierge, Camille, was fantastic. I would hire her in a second. Our room was spacious, clean and beautifully appointed. The Maison is centrally located in the old town and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. I would stay there again. However next time, I would not take a car. The hotel does not offer parking and it took us 2 hours to find a public garage that wasn't full.

Location, location, location! Staff was excellent and very helpful. All major tourist sites and museums were literally next door. Multiple restaurants and cafes within 200-300 metres of the property. Quiet street with no traffic noise.

    Came for the Cezanne 2025 exhibits, and thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay in Aix en Provence. See the Basitide, see the studio, walk up to the Jardin des peintres. We even enjoyed a Cezanne-themed bike tour, and of course the Musée Granet. As in most of touristed areas of France, do a little extra homework, pick your spots, and make reservations for dinner- and even lunch. We did the 'menu wander,' which often leads to 'just ok' meals.

    A large historic city centre with hundreds of small individual shops and restaurants. The squares are a wonderful place to eat at night and you should not miss the food markets on a Saturday. Very helpful and pleasant staff in the shops and restaurants and a very beautiful city. Access is easy by train from Marsallie or other towns in the south France; you don't need a car. Best to eat away from the main street as it's netter value and the food in thr local bakeries is amazing. I'd especially recommend Boulangerie Hats Aix Espiariat for breakfast and lunch

    I went there specifically for the opera festival held every July. That's of a very high standard. The Theatre is modern and ugly. The city centre is absolutely hopeless for the car, narrow streets and no parking available at most times. There's a very nice part round the cathedral and Hotel de Ville. The famous Cours Mirabeau didn't do much for me. I took a chance on the weather in order to go to the festival but found the vicious heat difficult. Going there in the spring or late autumn would probably be much better for someone used to British weather.

    I came for the art and wasn't disappointed. Cezanne's studio was charming. We couldn't get online to book tickets for the big gallery exhibition, but we wandered up the street and discovered a fabulous manor house gallery with a beautiful courtyard restaurant. Great vintage shops, markets every day, friendly and buzzing. Perfect for exploring on foot with loads of interesting streets and shops in all directions. Sextus Thermae spa was a godsend on the hot days and a brilliant way to spend the day - it had a snow room! We booked again for our last day between checking out and flight time and they looked after our luggage, so absolutely brilliant. What a great city.

    Aix en Provence is a charming area.

    Aix en Provence is a charming area. The surrounding villages and towns are worth visiting also however I would recommend going in the shoulder season as it was very hot whilst I was there and very few places have air conditioning

    Everything about the hotel itself was just right for us.. The staff were very pleasant and really helpful with good advice about getting around. Even though it was a 20 minute walk , or 5 minutes on a bus , it was easy to get to the most popular parts of the city. Being just ONE minute from the motorway more than made up for the , ever so slightly, longer walk into the old town. PLUS, free parking was available ( not guaranteed) or £8 per day next door.If returning to Aix en Provence I would definitely book this hotel again.

    This is a great boutique hotel right on the main boulevard of Aix. We didn't take advantage of the spa facilities, so we can't report on that. But the location is great, a "city hotel" in Aix. There are bars and restaurants everywhere on the street, and little markets everywhere. The room was not large, but it made up for that in excellent facilities. There is parking available, which however is not free -- but that is to be expected in the middle of the city. The hotel's bar and restaurant were very nice.

    The apartment was just what I needed for a last min overnight stay, situated in the old city centre. Jade was so kind and responsive with all texts , the neighbourhood people were all friendly and helpful and it was quiet at night . I thoroughly enjoyed my too short stay . I stay anywhere from small 5 star boutique hotels to apartments, it is not always where I stay , but how I got treated , that leaves a lasting impression. Jade was kindness herself.

    A very characterful hotel with lots of old fashioned charm. Our room was absolutely lovely - beautiful soft furnishings and old wooden furniture and a delightful view over Aix and nearby mountains, We had a superb breakfast in a very beautiful dining room. The staff were lovely. Finally, it was very conveniently located in a quiet, attractive street in the old town. Perfect.

    The location of the hotel is very convenient as it is only a short walk from the centre of Aix. The room was a really good size for the three of us and we didn’t feel cramped at all. The decor was lovely too. The bathroom was a really good size.
