Very clean, comfortable (good A/C during the heat wave!) and friendly, helpful staff. Nice location away from the crowds but just 2 blocks to the beach, plenty of restaurants nearby and a short walk to the town center. Highly recommended!

The location is gorgeous.We loved walking on the boardwalk. The included parking is VERY helpful. The view from our balcony room is stunning. The breakfast is extremely tasty and plentiful. We especially loved the brown bread and scrambled eggs. The fruit, yogurt and cheese were also very good.

Don’t get me started. Ok. Loved the view , the bed, the decor, the staff, the breakfast, the lounge. The period wallpaper, fixtures , special touches were perfect. Coffee in room nice. The breakfast was superb.cozy breakfast room too. Also, hubby left his passport in the lounge. Someone came running after him from the hotel to return it. It was a dream of mine to come to stay after I had spied the room a couple of years ago on a walk on the quai. The dream came true. Thank you .

Location is perfect just around the corner from a beautiful sandy beach and lovely little restaurant. Spa is superb. Every treatment was excellent. Indoor pool, Haman and sauna were fabulous . Excellent muscle relaxing jets in the pool . Outdoor pool is also great - a nice length for swimming laps. Water refreshing

The hotel is excellent. Beautiful inside and the rooms are super comfortable. The view from the restaurant is amazing and the staff is super nice and will bend over backwards to accommodate you. Best mattress and everything is new and nice. We rented bicycles and that was fun. The breakfast is very nice with lots of options. Also loved the spa. Worth every penny and will definitely come back.

Sea, Oysters and Europe’s Tallest Sand Dune

Arcachon is a French resort on the Atlantic coast, about 55 km from the city of Bordeaux. Known for its oyster farms, Dune of Pyla, the long sandy beaches and the Victorian houses, this seaside city is a perfect holiday destination.

Set among the ocean and a pine forest, the breathtaking Great Dune of Pyla is the tallest sand dune in Europe. Reaching a height of about 107 metres and a length of 3 km, this natural miracle is a massive hill ideal for paragliding.

    Loved the dunes. Very difficult to park but our holiday was in peak season so understandable. Quality of food not great and expensive. The best meal we had was at the dunes and that was the cheapest too. Lots to do for everyone but next time we would go out of high season

    Beautiful place!

    Beautiful place! The waitress in Diego's restaurant on the front was very patient and helpful with our group of 14. Food delicious, not cheap, but well worth it... we went back a second night. Alma Mia's for nummy pizza's etc. Lots of little cafes for crepes and cheeses. Beach and sea clean... perfect!.

    We were travelling with our dog and dogs were not allowed on...

    We were travelling with our dog and dogs were not allowed on the beaches or the boardwalk. We thought it was quite built up. All the promenade was being dug up while we were there so that affected our view of the place. Couldn't find vegetarian food except for pizza Le Teich Bird Reserve was fantastic and that was the reason we went to Arcachon.

    A sophisticated, small beach resort located on the southern shores of Arcachon bay. Take a trip on the ferry boats to Cap Ferret and Andernos to enjoy the real oyster tasting experience. Taxis are available if needed, but you can walk around Arcachon with ease. There is a good selection of seafood restaurants at the beach front and dotted throughout Arcachon.

    A stroll along the promenade, stopping for a morning coffee at the many restaurants, followed by a seafood lunch. A visit to the gardens was fascinating as was the architecture of the "old Town". Shopping was incredible with many niche shops. Eating out was difficult because there were many quality restaurants to choose from! The town was immaculately clean and is one we will definitely return to.

    We attended a wedding in Arcachon and did not experience the town for what it is, a beach resort town. We enjoyed the vibe of the town in the busiest month of August for Arcacon the beaches were packed with people, mainly French, not many foreigners. The attraction of Arcachon lies in the protection of the beaches from the Bay from the rough Atlantic. This is a local affair for people wanting to enjoy a relaxed, warm beach day without having to make the trip to south of France such as Niece.

    The two stores renewed apartment is big and spacious and has excellent location, near the beach and city center. We really enjoyed our staying with family with two kids, and it was best accommodation ever: it has everything you need. The modern kitchen and the books to read about Arcachon were highlights of the apartment. The stuff were friendly and helpful and did everything that our vacation was enjoyable!

    Fabulous apartment next to the port and a super restaurant for our first meal on holiday. Better than any hotel in Arcachon. We didn't use the kitchen facilities as we ate out in various restaurants near the sea. The Samsung TV has Netflix, Prime and other channels. Perfect for a couple. Thank you Sonia for a super welcome. We will book again when the predicted rain stops!

    Although the hotel room was small, it appeared well thought out, and it was tastefully decorated. We found it very cute. It was walking distance from the sea front and restaurants. We would definitely consider this hotel if staying in Arcachon again.
