Great location to the train station and to the WW2 sites I wanted to visit. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The dinner was exceptional and breakfast was good. Room was clean, wifi signal was strong, and the TV was clear. The kettle and coffee were also a plus. The bed was comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay and recommend the Auberge Normande.

The caring staff, the close and beautiful location, and it was simply a joy to sit outside and enjoy both the quiet and calm breeze. The locality to hallowed ground of D-Day and the rich history that’s still appreciated there make this a must stop. The staff were top notch in their care of me and my family. They all spoke multiple languages which helped ease any difficulties and they live in the town and were experts of the history. The rooms were well appointed and maintained. For my family of 3 easily. There are so many positives that staying anywhere else will never be a consideration for me.

This place is like a travel back in history. Beside being close to one of the most important beaches in history (around 10-15 minutes away from Omaha beach), the whole place is very well preserved and it just places you back in time. The room was very large, nicely decorated and everything was so quiet due to the area Angoville44 is. 5 stars for cleanliness also. The host was really friendly and willing to wait for us late in the night. The only regret is that we only stayed one night in this place... If you ever want to visit anything related to D-Day or Bayeux or any area around, I would recommend staying here.

If you are planning to visit the main D-Day spots at Utah, Omaha Beach, etc you should take Domaine Airborne as your main operations camp. This place is unique in Normandy, next to the "D" landing spot of the 101st Airborne Division, you will feel in the middle of the battlefield. This place was used as shelter by german soldiers before the D-Day landing and has been visited by famous 101st airborne veterans. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are extraordinarily decorated. The owner will give you plenty of recommendations of places to visit and organize your trip. He has many "special" stories to tell if you are truly interested in II World War history. One last thing, before you visit Domaine Airborne, do not forget to watch "Bands of Brothers", you will understand why! Do not miss this place or you will regret!
