Small village / town, lovely church to visit, the pub, Le Pont de la Pierre, by the river is a must visit as such a lovely setting and well worth the walk. The Restaurant Le Palais nice setting but we got overcharged and will not be frequenting this place on our future visits. The restaurant Le Cheval Blanc offered a set menu and it was fastfood with à la carte prices. Le Central Bar was good for drinks. Gets busy with visitors, ex-pats and local residents. Mixed bag. Really handy location. Usual problem of finding an evening meal out of season, but our hosts directed to the Cafe du Commerce. Pleasant atmosphere, only thing to eat were Pizzas. We love Pizzas in France as generally there are a pretty decent version of the real thing - not the abominations that have crept in over the years from USA! The Pizzas we had in Cafe du C were outstanding, probably the very best we've had anywhere in France. It is near Bellac center, so everything is accessible on foot. Parking was in front of the property (public space), and there were always plenty of parking spaces available. Breakfast was great and fulfilling, especially the crème brûlée served in a small bowl. You'll also get a big bowl of freshly cut fruits.
