This stunning and historic house has an amazing view. It is located on a property on the side of a cliff just under Beynac Castle and above the majority of the houses in the village. From the windows, one can see the red tiled roofs of the charming houses below, the winding Dordogne River, an abundance of birds, and the occasional hot air balloon as it makes its way down the valley. The property itself is a treasure. It includes an infinity pool and several beautiful outbuildings and structures. Jeremy, Illies, and a third staff member took turns preparing our breakfast each morning. They were all friendly, helpful, and responsive to our questions and needs. The owners/managers of Sarrasins did a very good job of communicating prior to our arrival about the self-check in procedures. I left just a few suggestions below for increased clarity on accessing the property when you arrive.

The location of the hotel is perfect as it's right at the edge of the walled old town so very easy walking to everywhere. The staff was very helpful as we had to rearrange our plans due to the National train strike. Our room was an apartment with king bed, nice size bathroom, extra half bath, kitchen and living area. Love that you could open the windows as we got a great breeze at night.

This is a very beautiful place in a beautiful setting less than a mile from the center of Domme. The hotel and rooms are exceptional!! Ours had a modern, fully equipped kitchen which was very convenient, as well as a spacious bathroom and bedroom. The pool and outside terrace are also amazing. The staff was wonderful! They were so welcoming and helpful with anything we needed.

    Apart from Beynac-et-Cazenac is so beautiful and interesting place to stay there are lots of other things to do and see, such as visiting castles, hiking, taking a boat on a river, canoeing and just visiting other nice little towns and villages with an excellent views! You can easily stay there 2 weeks and it’s still may not be enough to visit all spectacular places around.

    We visited Beynac in the middle of the summer holidays, it was as if hell had broken loose, so many people, so many cars, buses and so on. Besides that it is a wonderful destination, next time we will try to avoid the 'high season'.

    It was a beautiful small town to relax in and there were also some lovely attractions. The Beynac Castle was the highlight and many chateaux are in the area. There were enough small shops and restaurants to visit and all in all it was a lovely stay. We were there for 3 nights but could have spent longer in the area.

    Beynac is a nice base for exploring the majestic Dordogne region. La-Roque-Gageac, Castelnaud, Domme, and Sarlat are all within 10 km or so, and Beynac itself is a lovely riverside village. You can't go wrong just about anywhere in the Dordogne, but you can definitely go *right* in Beynac.

    It's a great period property, located very centrally in Beynac-et-Cazenac. Plenty of room, and it has a large garden with fantastic views over the village and the river. There is an open kitchen, and a small seating area with sofas and tv - we did not use those though as there is plenty to see in the county surrounding Beynac. A particular highlight were the caves (grottes) in Lacaves. It is fairly easily accessed from souillac airport, traffic in September was pretty relaxed. Driving around and finding our way was easy.

    Fantastic location at the foot of a stunning architectural village, close to river and all attractions, great value for money. The hotel was really clean and great value for money. The staff were so helpful and friendly. A real gem of a place.

    Clean and tidy hotel with good sized rooms. Very clean. The breakfast was good. Super location by the Dordogne and was great for work. Restaurant on site, the food at which was lovely and reasonably priced.
