This was an amazing stay, and I hope to stay again in the future. The hosts are SO welcoming and really go above and beyond. I really love how there are no glaring and wasteful lights on the property. Since the outer building blocks the streetlights, you can stargaze from the backyard with no disturbing lights in sight. It's really rate to find a place in Europe like this, and the location is in the best area of northeast France for stargazing.

Our host was a true gentleman, and helped us to understand the ins and outs of this unique accomodation. We enjoyed the quiet village, and the opportunity to prepare our own repast in our own time. This part of the world seems a bit isolated, so the gite is a gem to discover. We were very pleased to wander the grounds beside the small river and find a calm respite before the call of the road lured us on again.

We have stayed here several time throughout the past 10 years and it is an excellent hotel in this remote area of France. The restaurant is perfect for breakfast, which is enough to keep you going all day, and dinner, which has a menu with variety and local dishes. The location is great for relaxing and/or seeing the sights of the Meuse/Argonne area. Many WW1 battlefields are in the area and the American Cemetery isn't far. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the WIFI is also good. We will continue to stay here when we visit the Argonne.

Everyone was so kind to us. We had a remarkable dinner with a very friendly waiter and the next day they let us sit on the lovely terrace—bringing us coffee and croissants long after they were finished providing breakfast. We sat for hours there in the sunshine after my 90-year old parents slept off their jet lag. The building itself is not beautiful but we had a truly beautiful experience.

I was on a motorcycle trip in the area and this hotel is perfectly suited as a 'basecamp'. So it's not the Hilton? That's just perfect because that was not was I was looking for. Very, very friendly staff and great breakfast that gives you a good start before you go out riding.
