The area is beautifully maintained and presented. The beach is spotless although many people have dogs and some unscrupulous owners allowed them soil the beach and didn't clean up, even though this is forbidden by law:Children played there all the time. There were plenty of events and boat trips but unfortunately not at at the times we were there. We took the bus for € 1.30 to Perpignan and had lovely time exploring the city. The Little Train Ride around the city was excellent for historical sights and seeing parts not generally known or accessed such as The Gypsy Quarter, where there are fab markets but could be unwelcome to outsiders. The people all over Canet Sud/ St Cyprian/Perpignan were friendly and helpful once we tried to speak French and between our 'Franglaise' communications, we always got what we needed. We intend to return next year earlier in the season, around May,as it gets very hot mid summer. Really loved the place but not the apartment!
