Lovely hosts, who are flexible with some things if they have not been described precisely in the advertisement (eg towels) and who went out of their way to optimize out comfort. Big space, 3 bedrooms all individualized, nice backyard space with comfy backyard furniture on soft synthetic grass, and a parking spot on the road in front of the house. Liked the coffee and coffee maker. Near a gem of a medieval village with good restaurants. A word for non-European travellers about details that are not necessarily downsides, but should be known before booking - 1. European shower only (long hose with spray head in a bathtub) 2. The AC is only in the main room. The halls between the bedrooms are long so AC doesn’t trickle into bedrooms - you must sleep with the window open and fan on in the summer. 3. Owners only make up the number of beds for the number of travellers and assume that parents sleep in the same bed (two singles pushed together with one sheet over it). Unlike the ad, they do not charge for sheets. When my husband and I needed to sleep in different rooms to support different temperature needs, the hosts accommodated readily. But just make sure you clearly request the number of beds to be made up. 4. Hosts will ask you for your traveller’s/house insurance - we don’t have this, and didn’t get the message about it until we were already out of country but hosts told us it was only expected for French travellers so we were off the hook. 5. Unlike a lot of VRBOs and AirBnBs, there are zero “leftover” supplies, which makes cooking and eating-in a challenge. The hosts provide coffee and sugar and bottled water. Bring your own salt/pepper, oils/vinegar, herbs, soap, shampoo etc. 6. Bring a personal cheque or bank draft for the €500 deposit. They will hold it and not cash or take an e-transfer. Although it is in the policy, I had not properly noticed the need for the deposit. As a non-European, we had to take out cash.

Loved everything about it, even though our room (the cheapest) was small. The hotel and surroundings are GORGEOUS, the food was good and the staff was exceptional: friendly, efficient and helpful. Can't say enough good things about it. Hope to return.

The staff were incredibly friendly and gave us advice on everything and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, particularly Adalaide who gave advice every day and allowed us to check in as soon as we arrived in the morning despite check-in being at 16:00pm.

    Hotel is in Carros Centre and did not spend any time there. No sign of restaurants close to the hotel so ate mainly in the hotel restaurant. Carros Village is a quiet hilltop village 5 minutes drive away and is very pleasant. Had an excellent pizza at Lou Poumpouille.

    Excellent location. The hotel was very nice with a big swimming pool and everything very clean. Also it has chargers for electric cars and it is a complete hotel with everything you need. The service and staff are also very kind and friendly and everything works smoothly. I highly recommend Promotel hotel. Definitely I will also go again in the future.

    Booked VERY last minute and it was very convenient for us. The small kitchen area was very well stocked and useful to have as an addition to the room Staff were friendly and it was useful being able to access the hotels facilities too. Area was quiet and not too far from the centre of Nice, the airport or Carros (the little town at the top of the hill.

    The best stay we have had so far in France!!! Sterile clean. Wonderful garden and up to 3 terraces! Very peaceful surroundings. Idyllic. Kitchen well equipped . Rooms bright and spacious. The owner is very, cery friendly.!!! Contact with her was prompt and hassle free. We would love to return there as soon as possibile!!! 11/10

    Carros is an absolute gem of a village. The host was great, a lovely couple. The appartment is beautiful, very clean. Positioned in a very quiet and beautifull area. Small car is recommended as the access to the property is quite narrow, but beautifull.
