Les Volets Rouges is wonderful quiet hotel situated just 5 minutes away from the turmoil of Cassis. The rooms are very comfortable and spotless. The managers Sébastien and Matthieu are a delight, amazing hosts, very sociable and attentive to their guests needs. It was wonderful chatting with both of them! Breakfast was delicious, (especially the homemade yogurt) although some more proteins would have been nice, but that’s just a detail. We highly recommend Les Volets Rouges! And again a big thank you to Sébastien and Matthieu!

Perfect location - minutes away from port de Cassis, restos… Hosts are amazing and recommended places to see and eat. We arrived earlier, we got to park our car and walked around Cassis while we waited for our room. Pool was nice. And the spa after a long hike in the Calanques was also nice Our room was perfect.     Very charming and picturesque with a laid-back, easy-going, small-town beach vibe for the average Joe. We stayed for 3 nights in mid-August upon arriving in France from the USA to relax and recover from jet lag. Although we enjoyed our time, it wasn’t that “south of France” experience we would have preferred; we should have opted for a larger and more glamorous city further east, but Cassis was more convenient for our central France itinerary. So, although the beach experience wasn’t all we were hoping for and we ended up lounging more at the hotel pool, there were good restaurants and it was pleasant walking around and exploring the town.

    Cassis is a beautiful little seaside town with many restaurants and the water and Calanques are very pretty. It is easy to book activities and lovely to walk around. The people we met were kind and friendly.

    The town around the marina is a very lively area all day...

    The town around the marina is a very lively area all day with many restaurants for breakfast, lunch, drinks and evening meals. An accordion player and singer entertained along the edge of the water. There was a carousel for children and the beach. The area is hilly and it is possible to walk to the first two Calanques which can also be visited by the local boat trips.

    Absolutely wonderful!

    Absolutely wonderful! Beautiful waterfront village - great restaurants, lots of shops. Lots of people too, but it did not feel crowded (except at the beach in town!). We were there on a Saturday night and there was music everywhere and many people out enjoying, but it felt relaxed and happy. It feels very much like a local scene - did not feel "touristy".

    Beautiful village and appreciate the authenticity. Not touristy which I was worried about. We loved it. Excellent dining and quaint shops in every price range. I look forward to returning and spending more time!

    Cassis is just like the pictures—quaint small streets bustling with people and restaurants, charming boats in the harbor, and a beautiful old church with a bell tower. The town offers stunning views and is amazingly beautiful, full of vibrant life. Must visit and you will fall in love.

    The tranquility is exactly what I needed ! There aren't many rooms at the property, therefore it's really quiet and peaceful, all you hear is birds chirping and wind blowing. The view you wake up to is amazing, and the bed was definitely one of the best among the hotels I've stayed. The host Valerie, as well as the staff are very attentive, they made sure you feel at home and have everything you needed for a perfect holiday. Everything was perfectly clean, which is to me the most important for a comfortable stay.

    When we arrived, our room was on the roadside and a big no no for us, but the hostess did make a huge effort to change our room and asked other guests if they would prefer the sea view room so we could have the quieter room. The location was superb and offered us easy access to the beach and a short walk into town. The little pizza restaurant at the entrance of the hotel was excellent with an amazing vide and reminded us that restaurants with a casual atmosphere are often the best, don't always go for chic!

    The hotel location couldn't be better. Just in the center of Cassis, among the restaurants, bars, cafés, and very near to the beach. We asked for two rooms close to each other and the hotel was able to fulfil that request, which was very nice. The breakfast was also quite ok, nothing fancy but everyone found something to eat. The hotel doesn't have a parking space available but there are great public parkings nearby. For travellers with small baggage, this is a good choice.
