In keeping with looking for quiet places, we booked here, just outside Mirapoix. Wow!!! If this had been our first stop, we may well have stayed longer and made it our base. Dagmaar is simply lovely, a perfect hostess. Welcoming, warm, helpful, funny and a great sense of humour. I wish we could have stayed longer. Our room was a great size, en suite bathroom, a really comfortable bed, tastefully decorated, with a view of the countryside. Breakfast was incredible, spoilt for choice, her dog Kiva was on hand to help if you couldn't finish 😀 If you follow Dagmaar's instructions, it's only a 10 minute drive from Mirapoix, where we had amazing mussels in a restaurant she so kindly booked for us.

Jon and Vicky were very helpful and welcoming, with thoughtful details like a cake on our arrival, a bottle of wine awaiting us and fresh milk in the fridge. Plenty of wood for the fire, the house was warm and nothing was wanting.

Charmant logis au coeur de Mirepoix is located in Mirepoix, 19 miles from Montsegur Castle, 19 miles from Museum of Montségur, as well as 23 miles from Foix Castle. Good location. No on street parking but managed to park 100 metres away. Clean and well presented. Very welcome orange juice and little cake left for us on arrival. Basic but had everything needed for a short stay. View overlooked the garden. Air conditioning worked well and was very welcome.
