Beautiful town, folk very friendly considering it is a tourist town. Great for nearby walks, superb river swim spots nearby. Lots of choice for eating drinking chilling. Easily 10 nearby walks from town or using very cheap bus service up valley. Great info available at tourist office, ie detailed walks and maps. Plus mountainbiking up restonica valley. Corte is a good place to do some hiking as the mountains and hills are stunning. We found the people in Corte were not as friendly as other places in Corsica we visited- which does make a differnce! The bed was the most comfortable we had in Corsica, the bed linen high quality, the building itself is old and has real character. However the best thing of all is the breakfast spread, its superb, especially liked the home made yogurt! Would definitely recommend this hotel. The nature in the area is really beautiful, and It was so lovely to swim in the river.
