Hôtel du Lac d'Enghien les Bains is set opposite the lake in the spa town of Enghien-les-bains, 12 mi from Paris. It offers elegant guest rooms and suites that overlook the garden or the lake. Everything was coool, from the time of booking till the check out
Located in Deuil-la-Barre, Le Cottage de Montmorency - Le Cerisier - provides accommodations with a terrace and free WiFi. The apartment features city views and is 17 mi from Versailles. Very welcoming and accommodating hosts ! Thank you very much. The place meets all expectations, was very clean, organised and warm. Short 10min walk to the station that goes right into Paris. They speak great English too ;) Next time I'll speak French. Oh and there are many little touches that you will appreciate such as thick comfy shower towels, shower gel that smells great, extra beding, coffee and tea, etc.
I loved walking along the lake with my friends and eating in the restaurants around . Spending time in the casino was also fun ! I wouldn't go there alone though, cuz it's quite a conservative place . Always go with friends. There's lots of fun! Even just shopping in the small town centre.
Honest opinion there was nothing special about it, and it was a pity that one could not enjoy a stroll by the lake would have been nice if there were a park to walk your dog in. However the whole point of our trip was to relax and be pampered at the Hotel so in that sense nothing to complain about.
Enghien les Bains is a great short trip within easy reach of Paris. The lake is an added bonus and it is the focal point of the town, together with the Casino (make sure to have identity on you as security is understandably strict and you will not gain entrance without your ID). Lots of shops, if you are inclined towards shopping. Strangely for a French town, a big shortage of restaurants in the town centre, I only saw one!
It was a lovely location. The lake was scenic and the town was pretty and extremely clean. I found a couple of bars where all of the natives were extremely friendly to a non-speaking Englishman. It's proximity to the centre of Paris by train was also extremely helpful
