The gardens were lovely and my dog loved roaming them. The room was beautifully decorated and light, with huge windows. The bed was very large, long and comfortable. The TV was big and had lots of channels, including Netflix etc. Bathroom was light and clean. The hosts were very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. There was no charge for the dog which was great. Breakfast was lovely and was served in the garden as the weather was so nice.

We arrived at Les Jardins de Marie after a very long day driving from the south of France to find Marie in her garden. She welcomed us with chilled sparkling water with mint in the shade of a very beautiful typically French mill house. The accommodation was up the stunning spiral staircase in the centre of the house, into an extremely comfortable bedroom with sofa, coffee table and a window looking out onto a river and woodland. It was gorgeous! The house is a very short walk into the quaint town of Bernay and all of the amenities that you would need. We spent the day there as we were staying with Marie for two nights and there was so much to see. And for the cherry on the cake Marie has a swimming pool which was very relaxing after a day of sightseeing! We loved both the accommodation and Marie.

Very clear that Anne Claire is gifted in cooking and creative things. The colours in the newly renovated rooms were wonderfully beautiful. The food was all homemade.

The flat and its situation were very pleasant but not suitable for us who are in our mid eighties. Had this been clearer it would have been helpful. Also more clarity about the address would have been useful. The owner when phoned was good and we managed and enjoyed our stay. This is not a complaint but a suggestion that the advert and name of property be improved

Provided your expectation from coming here is to experience Normandy as you've pictured it, there's hardly anything, that could possibly disappoint you. Including the fact, that unless you want to, you won't see a living soul for as long as desired. Including the owners (a charming French couple with great respect to their heritage), who only appear, when needed. One hint perhaps: unless you're a lover of extremely long walks, you'll definitely need a car to do grocery shopping.
