The host was very friendly and she allowed us to check in earlier as the room was ready and she was on site. We went to Castellane for 1 night from Nice to stargaze the perseids meteor shower and we had an incredible experience. It was also accessible to contemplate from the backyard of L'Oustaou hostel, there are deckchairs available.

My stay was amazing. Great location to explore the Verdon Gorge. I did have a car which made it easier to get around the area for hiking. But the town is an easy walk away and has several good restaurants. Had a great time and met several other fun travelers.

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
