Located in Le Faouët, Hotel Tyblomen has a restaurant, bar, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. The hotel features family rooms. Was a bit like stepping back in time but that didn't matter. The hosts were fantastic and our €15 five course meal was fabulous.
Located in Le Faouët, 29 miles from Concarneau, Crown Roads has a garden and free WiFi. There's a private bathroom with shower in all units, along with a hairdryer and free toiletries. Very nice, quiet place. The hotel is brand new and the owners are very nice. Everything from arrival to leaving was perfect.
Located in Le Faouët, 5 mi from Lake Bel Air, Chez Louisette B&B features a pétanque area and a barbecue. You can play badminton in the garden and a continental breakfast is prepared every morning. I have been visiting Le Faouet for around twenty years. It is simply the best place I have ever stayed there and in Brittany!
Once you know where it is, it is an ideal overnight stop when travelling through France. It's a pity that the facilities are not ensuite, and you have to be careful not to bang your head on the steel bunk beds.
The town has a fine art museum, numerous restaurants and bars. The Halle in the square is a most impressive structure. Close to Le Faouet is the well signposted church of St. Barbe, which is well worth a visit. Built in a ravine, the 17th century church is a marvel, but there is also a lovely path to St. Barbe's well and on to a beautiful riverside walk....and after all that you can have a coffee at the cafe on site!
Good value for money. The village is nice for a short stay. Hotel has a restaurant with good food. Some other restaurants in neighbourhood. Calm stay. One problem was that wifi on first floor was too weak. You need to go downstairs to get decent wifi.
Thought about eating out at a creperie but most places were closed which I thought strange on the Thursday before Easter. Ended up shopping for bits and pieces to snack on in the 8 til 8 shop, which was well stocked and oh so convenient! Could have eaten at the hotel, smelled very nice, but I'd had lunch and just fancied something light. Was going to do the walk up to the chapel which is meant to be very scenic but it started raining!
