The building is older as expected, but the rooms look very modern and new. They were very clean and well set up, even with bathroom amenities. I had a peaceful view of the gardens. And the size was suitable for what I needed. Also had a bathtub that I don't often expect in European hotels. The staff was beyond kind and were very compassionate. They were even willing to help me figure out breakfast even though I was leaving early but I didn't need it. They let me know everything about the bus to the train and the shuttle bus to the island. It can seem like a bit of a walk from the car park and bus stations when you first come in but once you're on the main street, you're near everything and it's a quick walk to the shuttle, shops, and with a restaurant right across. I would recommend staying at the hotels on the mainland versus the islands mostly because it would be quite difficult to get to the island hotels with luggage plus the shuttle runs til 1am which is perfect. I wish I was there for a longer stay!
