Chalets De Jouvence is located near the Kedeuze Gondola in the village of Les Carroz d'Arâches. It offers 4-star apartments. Great ski in/out location (if you are in the right chalet). We had a charming room with all that we needed and a great view. Nice touch was a little box of things that you would need (washing up things, dishwasher tablets etc.etc.). Spa area was very good (sauna, steam room, hot tub and pool) and accessible by lift. The staff were excellent - friendly and very competent. Easy walk into town where there is a good variety of shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Wifi was good (though only one device pp) and there was English TV (BBC1&2 plus Channel 4)
Great access from Geneva for a quick ski break. 4 days skiing over the UK Easter bank holiday. Great traditional village feel with modern expansion and facilities. Some really nice restaurants both on the slopes and in Les Carroz.
Les Carroz is perfect for a long weekend ski break. It's an easy one hour drive from Geneva, apart from a Friday evening when it could be twice as long, and most of the drive is on toll roads. The resort has stunning views of the surrounding mountains and countryside, even at resort level, and the view of Mont Blanc from the top of Flaine is stunning. The skiing is varied with some great off piste, as well as a lot of blues and reds and runs in the trees, and it's easy to get to and from Flaine. However Saturday's can become a little congested when the locals drive up - we waited 30 minutes to get the lift over to Flaine, and had to queue frequently once we got there.
A nice easy ski area with mostly easy Blues for getting around. We skied for 4 days and that was plenty to do most of the runs a few times over. You can ski to Flaine on Blues with a short slightly more challenging mogaly bit that some learners walked down, but once past this the Flaine area is available. A few easy reds and one or two blacks that we did not try. Didn’t stop in Flaine but it looks like a concrete jungle unlike Les Carroz which was vey nice. If you want a locker at the foot of the Les Carroz 1200 Gondala then be prepared to sit for 10 minutes to create an online account and pay for your locker with a credit or debit card, all a bit of a faf when you want to get skiing. A good system once sorted but beware you need to be back by 4pm on your last day or your locker will not open. Why the Locker expires at 4pm when you can ski until much later is a mystery. The free ski busses run frequently and provide a good service from the town. If you want one of the restaurants in the town then you need to make a reservation. As usual the on mountain restaurants are a bit basic and quite pricey but if you ski regularly you will be used to this. The restaurant at the top of the first gondala lift is not great. Ski to one of the others would be my recommendation. If you want to be challenged with your skiing then probably look for another resort but if you are learning or like an easy ski then Les Carroz is perfect. Just over 1 hour away from Geneva, Go Massive taxi firm are excellent.
Lots of great skiing over a wide area from Les Carroz. The village is lively and friendly and has a good range of bars and restaurants close to the main square. The free shuttle bus covers most of the village well
Pretty little resort about as close to Geneva airport as you can get. Nice mix of slopes and not too crowded. Centrally located in the Grand Massif with easy connections to Flaine Morillon and Samoëns. Pleasant welcoming unpretentious restaurants and bars.
Extensive and varied ski area, pubs and restaurants very friendly and easy going. Particularly liked The Marlow amazing cocktails and Carp Diem for late drinks great atmosphere and friendly staff. Good choice of food options for a relatively small village
Fantastic views from the rooms and breakfast area. Location within short walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Limited free hotel parking; some room on street. Breakfast on first day was in a small room with limited offerings. Second day was in larger area that offered cook your own crepes. Lead breakfast worker was unprofessional wearing flip flops and seemed unpleasant when told things were empty. Desk staff was great. Tour de France support stayed here.
We stayed here for 3 nights and had the most amazing stay. Our room was great, it had a lounge with log burner and incredible views over the piste directly in front of the hotel and out towards the village. The breakfasts and evening meal was great (I recommend having dinner at the hotel at least once during your stay). The staff at the hotel made our stay extremely comfortable we will be back!
Location is great. Skating rink and shop are next to the hotel. Village center with restaurants, animation and cinema is also couple minutes away. Spa area is fantastic. Special thanks for massage services. My wife and I took several sessions.
Perfect silent place on the magnificent sight of mountains. Very calm, cosy and beautiful all around and inside the hotel. Nice staff and very good conditions in the room - wooden furniture, balcony, cool bathroom!
Amazing hotel staff. Always available to help you. We loved the service of nursery for our 8 months old son and kids club for our 3 years old one. The parents can peacefully enjoy the organized walks by the hotel.
