It was a very clean, comfortable and peaceful bedroom that accommodated 3 people. The host was very warm and helpful. Breakfast was selection of cheese, butter, jams , bread and coffee which were delicious. Big country home where you felt very welcome!

The owner and family couldn’t have been nicer. I had remembered this property from years ago and my husband and I booked it for our 2nd wedding honeymoon. Spectacular. Quiet , romantic, exceptional food, historical. But most of all we were treated as family.

Valerie and Rodolphe were excellent hosts and made us feel like we were at home. They welcomed us warmly and even though we didn’t speak each others language we communicated just fine through google translate. The location is quiet and peaceful. It wasn’t just a room it was a small cabin with everything we needed. We didn’t take advantage of the jacuzzi but it would have been nice.

The breakfast was delicious! There were fresh croissants and homemade jam made by Michelé. There were also very tasty yogurts and toppings such as granola and honey were available. Coffee, tea, and fresh orange juice were also available and the fresh orange juice was amazing! We loved the personalized attention offered by the hosts and the effort they made to help us find restaurant reservations and activities. The bed sheets and duvet are of amazing quality which we really appreciate and the bed was very comfortable. The pool area is also very nice but unfortunately, we did not get to go in due to rain. The hotel feels very serene and like a relaxing escape. This hotel is definitely 5 stars and the fact that it only has a few rooms makes it feel much more personal and exclusive! Also, a plus for us was seeing and playing with Lester, Jean Pierre, and Michele's dog! All in all, while the owners were always on the property and making sure everything was great, we still felt like we had a lot of privacy and time to relax, so this hotel is the perfect combination for a harmonious and enchanting getaway- Fabi

    Beautiful location right under the cliffs and next to the Dordogne River. Lovely swimming pool - my kids loved it and cooled us all down. We had an amazing meal on the terrace, not only did the look incredible but it tasted amazing. The staff were also very helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back

    Quiet. A short walk into the lovely village. Pool was warm enough so would have been nice if the weather had been warmer. House comfortable and well equipped, parking good for our motorcycles. Owner was perfect with arrival and departure.

    Loved the location under the cliffs. Gluges has some semi-troglodyte dwellings. Loved the hotel's outdoor space..... bar, patio, pool, garden. Fantastic that it was so close to the river Dordogne where we had swim at Gluges 'plage'. Great for canoeing on the Dordogne. Restaurant was pretty good too.

    The location and vista were stunning. Huge grounds with a very big swimming pool and spa. (See the photos) Martel village is 5 Km away and it so pretty. Incredibly picturesque. Highly recommended.
