Fabulous location, close enough to town to wander, but far away enough to feel private. The chalet feel was very well done, not over the top, just right.

Very nice and cosy place quite close to the centre, with a « chalet » atmosphere. Yes, there is a fire place in the lobby and the whole ground floor makes you want to stay there. The breakfast takes place there too. Nice room with good bed (not always a given for a 3* hotel) with modern fixtures

Megève is one of the highest class resorts in the alps and so is a great experience but you don't have to spend a lot to enjoy. The main pedestrian street is great fun to explore. It has truly unique shops and world class galleries and the people watching is most interesting.

Megeve would be a different experience if the snow had arrived in time for our ski trip. As it was, we left half a day early to reach our second destination in Meribel. Meribel's slopes are higher up so they had more snow. Megeve feels like a lovely "locals" spot...plenty of fun runs for all levels if there was more snow on the ground. But you could literally spend an entire week at Les 3 Vallees, just an hour away. The town of Megeve was more charming than Meribel if I had to choose a "charming award"...with it's cobblestone streets and horsedrawn carriages....beautiful shops and outdoor space for food/drink...it's very picturesque. The more energetic apres ski scene is at Meribel...Le Folie Deuce, etc. The food at Nano Cafe was exceptional for lunch in Megeve! And the fun scene at Le Ferme Saint Amour was special...not everyone was in sequins and heels, like they suggest, however. And the entertainment at the early seating was mild, unlike their more festive marketing shots on IG for the restaurant. Service there was wonderful, but it was a spendy meal for the mild entertainment vs our expectations. Perhaps the later seating is different, but with teens we were not offered that option. Just something to note. Hotel lobbies are a great destination for drinks...M Hotel and Park Lodge especially.

Megeve is too expensive, but it's clear that they try to be high-end tourist town. We were there for the Tour de France so we didn't spend much time in the town. I think it has plenty of options also for the winter (skiing).

Once I have checked in the receptionist was pleasant but somewhat confused. I have asked for slippers and bath robe but she answered that I had the lowest entry and it was not possible. Since the hotel was not complete I have told her that I'm a Genius level with Booking to what she replied that she did not what I was talking about and that she will see it with the Manager. Obviously it never happened...These types of little courtesies would really help as while one is constantly being reminded how great are the advantages booking via Booking is is not what it seems to be.
Lovely cozy hotel right in the center of Megeve, great atmosphere and super nice hosts that made our stay really enjoyable. We’d been at the cimes also pre-Covid with our kids and our pet and our stay was equally nice😉small room with a pretty terrace giving us a bit of extra space for the dog.
Located on the edge of the main built up centre of Megève. Mountains as the backdrop with only the sound of cow bells to disturb the quiet. Convenient and secure car parking. Ground floor access made it easy for our bikes. Plenty of space in the apartment which was clean and well appointed.
The staff are amazing and friendly and helpful, best I’ve ever experienced.
Very cosy, with nice reception area to relax and enjoy a drink.
Shuttle service is great to town and ski slopes.
Breakfast is really great!
Great kids club, nice pool and a hot tub spa.
Beaumier Group created a magical experience for us again. Alpaga does have an excellent location for those whom are seeking privacy while being not so far away from the town.
Best part of the vacation was the staff. They were always helpful, warm and welcoming.
