Known as ‘The Pearl of France’, the city of Menton is located on the French Riviera near the Italian border. Overlooking the blue Mediterranean waters, this destination has colourful houses with red roofs, golden beaches and a harbour with fishing boats and yachts.
Built by the architect Laurent Lavagna, the 17th century Basilica of Saint-Michel-Archange is a historic Baroque-style church with an imposing belltower. Home to the Jean Cocteau Museum, the 17th century Bastion was once a defensive fort. Today, this museum hosts a great collection of ceramics and a unique mosaic.

We went there for the "FETE DU CITRON" with the children (8 and 3 yrs old) and it was super. The events were very nice; just a suggestion for the parades: book in advance the seats.
The old city is very nice for walks.
Lots of playgrounds for children .

We loved Menton! It is a great walking town.
We loved Menton! It is a great walking town. Beautiful views, wonderful foods. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed everything. We drove to Italy for lunch. It was so easy to navigate. Drivers are more patient than in the U.S., and it was so nice to drive without stress. The service was great at every restaurant and shop we visited. We had a view of the mediterranian sea from our balcony at the Vacances Blue Royal Westminster. They were great. We want to move to Menton!!

A small quaint town by the sea.
A small quaint town by the sea. It was good that I visited in November end which is probably peak off season. I can imagine that during season it can get quite crowded which will then not be as nice. The weather was excellent. being off season, the majority of the restaurants were closed. The restaurants all seem to be quite pricey though.

Menton is a very charming and beautiful city, very walkable with much to see and do. From museums, shops, restaurants and food emporiums promoting local products. I would recommend it for a visit and it's close proximity to Italy just across the border is also a plus.

Market hall, good food at place aux herbes, reasonable prices, cocteau museum unfortunately closed, Cimetiere de vieux chateau: phantastic sculptures, breathtaking view over Menton. Menton is my favourite city of cote d'azur!
Perfect location in the old town Menton about 10/15 mins away from train stations that gave endless possibilities. Sandwiched between two expensive hotels the large apartment had floor to ceiling doors off the kitchen and bedroom to the street and off the lounge and second bedroom to the garden and sea beyond. You could fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Supermarket was a minutes walk away. Very clean, hosts were on hand for any queries/questions and met us for key handovers, departure being at 7am our request.
Great location in menton with very easy acces to the railway station for monaco. Less than 10 minutes walk to the main town and seafront
Small friendly hotel.
Better than expected breakfast. Good choice of fresh fruit, bakery items, cheese, yoghurt etc. Excellent coffee machine.
Very clean throughout
Nice garden for sun downers or night cap (no bar you need to take your own in .. be considerate garden is right under bedrooms)
the hotel was very beautiful and nice
it has a private parking spot and a nice man helped us with luggage.
hotel's manager welcomed us at the and was very kind and helped with all of our requests
the room was very clean and the whole atmosphere was intimate and lovely
we had such a pleasant experience from Menton thanks to this hotel and thanks to Habib the manager and I would defenitly recommend on staying here !!
The hotel is quite expensive, but that's part of the experience in Menton. The breakfast was plentiful with a lot of choice. Late check-in and check-out is possible. The parking of the hotel is private and secure. The location is excellent. Friendly staff. Probably the rooftop restaurant and bar is quite nice. Note that you have to make reservations for the parking and the rooftop restaurant!
The hotel is everything you would expect from 3 stras hotel in France. The room was spacious and clean and the service was good. Staff and the cleaning lady were very friendly and helpful! The bed was good, not too soft, not too hard. Perfect location, three minutes from the beach, close to shoppings and restaurants.
Booked the hotel specifically to get a sea view room with balcony, which is just what we got. A larger balcony than expected with views to Old Menton on one side and over to Italy on the other. It did overlook a busy road and a public leisure area (as expected ). The room was spacious and very nicely presented.
We loved the view from the room, also the room looks very nice and clean. We appreciated the mini bar being refilled each day. Location of the hotel is good but the main action in Menton is happening at 20-25 min far from the hotel but still you can find anything you need close to the hotel.
The location close proximity to the beach and parking across the road. Walking distance to Old Town and shops, short drive into Monaco. Hotel receptionist gave recommendation for La P’tit Resto which was a short walk up the road and had the best French food we went twice for dinner.
Hotel was in a lovely position and was as described.
The staff were excellent and went the extra mile when we had a problem with our transport to the airport.
Loved the separate living room from the bedroom (we had a prestige room)
The location was just the center of Menton, 5 mins walking distance from the main station. The room was perfect for a small family with a kid, all the necessary staffs were there. We really enjoyed our stay there.
I think la frabrique à Poupées was one of the best place I stayed in the South of France. The staff was really helpful with great recommendations for activities and restaurants. They made us feel really welcomed.
This is a very nice hotel located in very nice area of Menton.
Only 5 min walk to the beach with a lot of options of restaurants nearby.
The staff is absolutely lovely and very helpful. I highly recommend.
Great location and quiet spacious site! Excellent facilities and plenty of equipment for cooking. Close to restaurants and stores and train. Menton is an amazing little city
The location is in a great location, walking distance from the ocean, train station, restaurant. There is parking, the hotel itself is beautiful & staff is so friendly
