Morzine is in a constant state of improvement.
Morzine is in a constant state of improvement. Lots of buidings being updated or replaced. Ski lIfts are regularly updated. Good Apres-Ski. Some good restaurants. A great place to say - lots of variety of shops and bars. Always enjoy the cavenbar and some of the food was fabulous. Morzine seems to be the central village of thé Portes du Soleil. The restaurants and shops are plentiful and quite good. The ski area is not too extensive but the options are to branch out east or west for a more extensive experience. I absolutely loved Morzine.
I absolutely loved Morzine. It has quite a bad reputation for pretty poor skiing however, most days we were there it was great and you can get a bus or gondola up to Avoriaz which is super easy and quick! The food was a standout for us, nearly every restaurant we dined in was exceptional and pretty good value. La Chaudanne and La Grange were two highlights for us! It's very easy to get around with the free buses but I wish the C bus was a little more regular and the app could show you which direction the bus was going in. There was lots going on at the hotel, entertainment everyday for children and adults. Two swimming pools, steam room and jacuzzi which were welcomed after a day skiing. The restaurant had a varied buffet for breakfast and dinner including themed nights with attentive staff. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and a lovely shower. Francoise and Cedric were fantastic hosts and we were given a free room upgrade without asking, they really couldn’t have done more for us throughout our stay. The breakfast selection is excellent, the lounge areas are warm and comfortable and the location is perfect between the Pleney and Super Morzine lifts and close to great bars and restaurants.
