Narbonne is absolutely beautiful!
Narbonne is absolutely beautiful! We went there in September and still managed to get sunburnt, which is quite lucky for a person who normally lives in the UK. Narbonne has this serene feel to it, people are very friendly, and the town centre is stunning. We haven't heard much about it before and were really nicely surprised how nice this place was. The local market was fascinating and we regretted not having spent more time there. The lady we were staying with was super friendly and didn't mind communicating via google translate, she even picked the fresh figs off for our breakfast from the tree in her garden. We basically lived off baguettes, wine, pate and fresh fruit for a week! The local beech is very nice and there's a direct bus to the beach from the city centre- the price of the ticket is so low compared to the UK, we loved it! We're just sad we didn't manage to go to any of the local vineyards.
