The hotel staff was lovely at the Grand Monaque, which is smaller boutique type hotel right in the center of Azay-Le-Rideau. The accommodations were exactly as we anticipated, and the hotel was particularly helpful securing us private parking just behind the hotel. Highly recommend!

The pool was very relaxing and tucked away behind the main grounds. The first night’s dinner was the best confit salmon I had ever had. The staff were also very attentive and wonderful to interact with.

The property is one in a million, with a private pool, plenty of space, great facilities and beautiful surroundings. A five minute drive to either Chinon or a big supermarket. We were a family of four, and would like to stay again with more friends.
