We stayed in the Latin Quarter - would definitely recommend the quiet of the area, as the Metro was close and could then go out to the more touristy areas when we wanted to. We were a block away from Rue Mouffetard - do not miss this beautiful street market. It's sublime. Getting around Paris was easy with Metro, found it similar to NYC subways. The food was extraordinary, has changed my relationship with how I think about food - the pleasure of not just eating, but watching the Parisians shop daily for food. Luxembourg Gardens is a must as well as Musee Rodin. In four days, we could barely scratch the surface, but we spent more time just walking the neighborhoods. The architecture was stunning, and that was what I wanted to see and feel the most. Of course, a ride on the Seine is a must. I can't wait to go back.Guest review byAmyUnited States - 8.0

Walking around and soaking in the slightly chaotic atmosphere was lovely. Eating out was not as good as the restaurants were all very similar where we were staying which restricted our choices and they were overly expensive for what we received. Be prepared for long queues for tourist.attractions like the Eiffel Tower ( 2hours 40 minutes) & Notre Dame (just over an hour). Unfortunately it rained heavily for most of our 4 days there, so we couldn't risk going into the city to visit the sights. Being a wheelchair user I was frustrated by some of the lowered kerbs which were too high to go across unaided, as I'd have to lift the chair onto the pavement, Some of the people's art in the area was wonderful and I loved wheeling round the streets taking photos. The pizzaria acrross the road was a life saver when the rain was too heavy to venture out and find a restaurant. Great city, food was amazing although somewhat on the expensive side. Easy to get around (mainly walking). The Eiffel Tower was amazing and our family trip to Disneyland was great.
