Located a 5-minute drive from the centre of Parthenay, Hôtel Au Relais Des Lilas offers a garden with a furnished terrace. Free Wi-Fi access is provided throughout this hotel. Customer service was excellent. The staff were most helpful. The rooms were very clean and had all the home comforts that made our stay stress free. Near to the town. Great location.
Located in the historic quarter of Parthenay, Maison Saint Jacques is a B&B set in a 14th-century, half-timbered townhouse. It offers free Wi-Fi, a courtyard garden and a furnished terrace. The BB was immaculate and Dorit did her best to please. The breakfast was generous and Dorit and her husband Trevor gracious hosts. We were kindly welcomed and the owners are fully bi-lingual. Bed was comfortable with a full kitchen. Fine bathroom and shower. They are very attentive and work to please. No hesitation to highly suggest you stay at Maison St Jacques. The parking is outside the front door or just a few steps away.
Located in La ferriere en parthenay, 40 km from Futuroscope, ASpace Holidays provides accommodation with a kitchen. Complimentary private parking is available on site. Property was spotless, comfortable and homely: - a real "home from home". The lovely, peaceful rural location was a great place to relax and Rose & Neil were fabulous hosts. Thank you for a really enjoyable stay!
My trip was very time limited. I could have spent a lot longer there. For such a small town, it has a lot of history and even has a hypermarket. It was a bank holiday when I was there so much of the town was closed but it was clear it had much to offer. I would love to go back for a proper visit when time permits.
I have been travelling to Parthenay for years and still love it!! Moopy Bay restaurant is very good. Also skippers bar and restaurant is really good they do Parthenaise meat which was amazing best I have ever tasted! Parthenay is a beautiful quiet town.
Parthenay was a lovely French village however restaurants recommended to us were either closed or no longer existed but we eventually found a corner cafe restaurant where the music was easy, service was good because the waitress was well organised and hospitable. Unfortunately we cannot remember the name.
Lovely town with plenty to see.. Not too manic. Lots of restaurants to choose from and easy to get about. As always the large hyper markets are worth a look around as they have a great choice of goods and food including sections for shoppers missing some home delights but at a premium.
Parthenay is a wonderful old city, but you can easily get lost! We were only there in the evenings but we had a very good meal in The Citadel Bar/Bistro. The old buildings, in the ancient area are a 'must' to see.
There is a relaxed feeling about the town with some good restaurants and open spaces. The historic quarter is full of character and a river winds it's way majestic through the valley. There are several affordable hotels but the shops could be better.
