easy to get to from Geneva .. hiring a car is best. possibly one of the most beautiful views on planet earth - whether winter or summer. My favourite is summer .. the walks and ancient churches ... the waterfalls and rivers, lakes and forests... perfect.
Vallandry a nice, quiet place without the industrial feel of some ski resorts. Fairly easy access to Les Arcs, and can also get across to La Plagne via the cable car from Peisey. Vallandry a great place for young children to learn as the La Foret blue back to the resort is a nice, winding, gentle blue through the trees, and there are loads of nice blues to learn on, but plenty of tougher runs easily accessible to progress to; much better than Peisey which only has challenging runs back to the resort. Pistes back to Vallandry still useable into mid April, Les Arcs snow still good.
The village was old and traditional, where locals were rather than tourists. A very friendly place with village cafe, grocery shop, bakery and cheese shop and a lovely old church. Places to eat were limited here. The hotel Tarine served very good evening meals. A car was needed to visit places. There was plenty to do for all.
A quiet, relaxing place to stay. Little in the way of bars and restaurants actually on the doorstep (apart from one very notable restaurant). We ate at Chalet Iris and the food was fantastic! There are bars and restaurants just a short drive or shuttle bus ride away. The free shuttle bus also takes you to the bottom of the ski slopes!
Peisey-Nancroix is a beautiful alpine village nestled in a pretty valley between two great ski areas - Les Arcs and La Plagne. It's quiet, picturesque and there's great hiking, biking and skiing all at your doorstep. I really loved the region and would like to return.
A good place to stay if you like to discover both Les Arcs and La Plagne. Despite the fact we did not have much snow during Christmas 2016, we still had good skiing possibilities and connections to both areas
good value for money. plenty of choice. Boot room good space with warming equipment.
