Great tranquil surroundings and nice updated villa. The villa landscaping and property are great, the beds were comfortable, and it stayed nice and cool. You were close to everything, yet far away enough to escape.

We loved our stay at Casa Matteu! The hosts were SO friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the property itself has a beautiful restaurant and pool. There was also lots of parking and the old town of Ajaccio is a short drive away. It was awesome!!

This is a special place. The owner is Corsican and built everything himself using traditional methods. Each room has beautiful stone walls. Goats and cats roam, keeping the lawn mowed and critters at bay. You feel at peace out in the countryside. Staff is super helpful and recommended a very nice restaurant in town. Breakfast was included and very good, with locally sourced ingredients.

Genuinely impressed and surprised by this place. Did not expect much but hands down one of the best "relais/hostel" I've seen in my life. I highly recommend trying out their restaurant as well !
