The location of this property is absolutely stunning. Our rooms, located in the guest house close to the pool, were extremely clean and comfortable with gorgeous views. The property was very well maintained and the staff felt more like old friends than hotel staff. Just a wonderful stay overall and we truly wished we’d had more time there.

It’s a restored convent so a bit quirky, but nicely outfitted. The highlight is Marie-Laure who runs the place. She provides a good value breakfast and a superb dinner (which is worth coming to stay just on its own). More importantly, she is just a delightful and engaging person who makes the world just a little bit nicer by being it it.

Everything about our visit to Castellu d’Orezza was amazing. The hosts were incredible, and if you’re seeking a secluded escape from the fast-paced world, this place is perfect. My husband has food allergies, and every effort was made to accommodate him. You feel like part of a family from the moment you arrive, thanks to the warm hospitality, delicious food, and modernized accommodations that still evoke a sense of history. We even went on a 12k walk, and Julia, the adorable house dog, joined us. My husband still talks about her! We absolutely loved every aspect of our visit.

The property is around 22 miles from Calacuccia Lake, 26 miles from Mount Cinto, and 13 miles from Ponte-Novu Train Station.

It is a beautiful domain, with a separate indoor/outdoor dining area overlooking the valley and sea beyond. Terrific host, very accommodating, beautiful rugged landscaping in a private area of the valley, donkeys and wildlife abound. So fun to feel like part of the community. Delicious varied dinner and breakfast, good wine. Very cozy, lux, and super clean. The rooms were spotless, well-appointed, and very comfortable. Do not forget to enter by way of the gate you access from the lower church parking lot. Google GPS took us to an alternate footpath entrance through a tiny portal in the old towne village, almost got the car stuck and the owner rescued us. We stayed 7 separate accommodations around the island, while Santini was not the most expensive, it was certainly the most memorable. Stay here you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful and quiet location, with view. Exceptionally friendly and hospitable host. We booked last-minute, and arrived in the evening (end of October). No restaurants were open, in the vicinity. She shared a meal with us, and we had a wonderful conversation, with local artisanal treats.
