Pontivy is a pleasant town, ideally located for a stopover if you are travelling along the Nantes Brest Canal. The architecture is very charming, a mix of Napoleonic and medieval buildings. The cottage was well equipped for all our needs,modern cooking facilities and bathroom. Lovely outdoor areas and garden. There's a trail (10 mins)just outside the door that leads to the town and joins the canal Brest- Lorient route. Shopping is quite near however you would need transport. We used on street parking, which was safe and plentiful in the area. The hotel owners were friendly and helpful, providing useful information on restaurants and attractions.
