The room was large, modern, clean, and the AC worked great. The staff were helpful and the guy at the front desk was efficient and had a great sense of humor. Everyone spoke great English. A bakery and grocery are right next door. The restaurant served a good crème brûlée.

We come here very regularly because we always have a wonderful time in this area. The personnel are super nice and friendly, the outside area is really lovely for relaxing, very quiet rooms, and everything that you need and it's dog friendly. Plus it's very near the forest and the village. We love it!!!

*Warm welcome by the owner. No problem for parking. It is a street parking for free. I prefer a private parking but it was OK. *Close to the city center. Very convenient. *It is newly built/renovated, clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. A few item are missing in the kitchen i.e. wine glass (there is only one), kitchen cloth. Otherwise perfect. It is on the first floor. The stairs are rather steep and narrow but no problem for us.

It is great location to stay with the car, so you can choose directions to different areas by car. (We travelled to north-east places, Giverny, Abbey, and to the south Chambord, Blois) There is also train station, but we didn't used it, but it should be nice point if you want to go to Paris. Rambouillet center is not so interesting as it looks French restaurants, which are not "fast foods" working very small period of times, afternoon, and then in evening.

Lovely town surrounded by a fantastic forest and lots of interesting villages to visit. The town has a beautiful chateau and park with lakes and wonderful walks. There are lots of shops and restaurants on the main thoroughfare and a few minutes out of the town a large shopping centre.

Don't miss Louis XVI 's gift of a Dairy to Marie Antoinette in the extensive Royal Park and the "Shell Cottage" half a century earlier. The town is also notable for surviving Council Buildings and Palais de Justice

Rambouillet is such a great town - wonderful chateau grounds and forest (perfect for walking and cycling), great restaurants and shops. It makes a relaxing change from the hustle and bustle of Paris - which is just 30 mins away by regular train service if you do like that sort of thing. Try the Savoyarde restaurant - you won’t be disappointed!
