An incredible value! We decided at the last minute to drive from Bordeaux to see the Dordogne region and booked two rooms for that day. The hotel is right in the middle of town, bathrooms seemed brand new and top quality. And our dinner on the terrace was one of our best meals in France. We each loved our dishes.
Relais Amadourien is located near the center of Rocamadour. It offers a garden and free WiFi access in the rooms. Each of the Relais Amadourien’s guest rooms has a private bathroom and a satellite TV....
Located on the uplands of Rocamadour, Hotel Bellaroc is just 7.5 miles from the Padirac Caves. It features an outdoor swimming pool and offers views of the medieval city.

We liked everything about this hotel. It is modern and spotless , set in green forest, beautiful and quiet. It is only 200 meters from the village restaurants (don't miss L'estanquet) and 5 nimute walk from the promenade that surrounds Rocamadour. During our stay we didn't have to use the car at all. Excellent breakfast.
Set in the medieval town of Rocamadour, this hotel offers a breath-taking view of the Alzou Valley. Traditional cuisine is served in the restaurant, and you can enjoy a drink on the terrace.

You will never regret coming to this stunning place, it's shrines are incredible, its lore and history from 10th Century quite amazing. It was in the middle ages, the most important shrine in France, en route to Santiago de Compostella.

It's architecturally and historically, an important place.
It's architecturally and historically, an important place.
A must see, interesting visit with stunning views. The cleanliness of French towns that are this size is a tribute to the pride that the local and regional councils have for their culture and environment.
There is a symbiosis between the stone of the area and the amazing structures that were created by intelligent, ancient craftsmen that leave you almost without words, such is the beauty of that creation.
Rocamadour has all the elements of a visit that stays in ones memory. It has an enduring, timeless quality. A fairy-tale landscape.
A wondrous, awesome testimony to a devoted and pious past.

The hotel was quite charming but small and part of an attractive old renovated building. The pool facing room was small but had a window for ventilation.
We paid for the room around €82. Please be aware Breakfast is not included and charged as an extra €26 for two people. There is no evening dining on site so after a long drive, we had to drive out again to eat. On cleanliness, just one issue. The bath had another visitors hair remaining in it which was off putting and could have been cleaner.
Otherwise, perhaps expensive for the facilities available but very pleasant staff.

The ambience is amazing as you enjoy the views of buildings built into the rocks around you or gaze at the valley you are in.
The shops are a mix of interesting artisan shops or typical tourist ones. Good choice of plat de jours during the day but night time is more expensive as ‘reasonable’ plats are not offered at night. Generally the food is good, well cooked and plenty of choices. We ate at a restaurant called La Table de Cure. Great staff and very good food. Padiriac Cave is nearby and a good trip but choose your times and date carefully to avoid queuing.

This was the 5th time we visited Rocamadour, mostly bringing our friend to see one of the most enchanted villages in France. View from the access roads (both lower and higher sides) will make your jaws drop. The whole place reflects how faith could create something nearly surreal. Seeing is believing. It is worth half a day to one day visit. But, we always stayed one night to enjoy wonderful meals and evening ambiance. Plenty of souvenir shops geared towards pilgrims and hikers but other things for general tourists. Several good restaurants with nice view. Not to be missed is their famous small round Rocamadour goat cheese. It tastes the best here although you can find them in most supermarket and cheese shops in South West France.
We have spent five nights at the hotel and had a very good time. The responsibles, Matthieu and Franck, have been very welcoming, showed us the attractions nearby and responded to specific requests by us (e.g. they made scrambled egg without milk).
We found our room to be rather large, very clean and quiet. The surrounding area is lovely and Rocamadour can be reached by foot.
The responsibles as well as the staff is very nice and speaks English.
We had a fabulous stay. Unpretentious hotel with outstanding staff within the village of Rocamadour right beside the "grand escalier"
Room with beautiful valley view. Good restaurant with terrace over the valley too.
No aircon, no lift, small room, but it all just felt so special, we'd go back without a second thought.
The staff and it's position are it's standout features
It was perfect for our overnight stay on our tour of France. No frills but clean and pleasant and we had just what we needed. Nice shops, bars and restaurants just outside the hotel and very close to the castle. Good value for money.
Great location. Close to the river and the castle. Lovely old hotel. Staff were helpful with information on the area and food service at the restaurant was very good.
Very hotel with a beautiful view. Very friendly staff. Good pool. Futhermore free parking on the premises and free WiFi.
Rocamadour very close by with car.
