Maison 1775 is a stunning renovated timber house in the beautiful Alsace countryside. We loved everything about it! It was well equipped, clean, beautifully decorated, modern, and the host was very gracious. A sweet note and fresh farm eggs greeted us upon arrival, and the host also made a quick stop the next morning to make sure we had everything we needed. There are two bedrooms and a third small room with a twin bed only that a child could use. There are two full bathrooms, one upstairs, one down. Beautiful kitchen that is well equipped, large dining space and sitting area with a TV where you can access Netflix. There is a lovely porch with dining that would be great in the summer and parking is provided in the neat as a pin barn. The grounds and village surround the home are so charming and well maintained. There us a super market about 15 minutes away with a lovely drive through the countryside and villages. The house is about 30-40 minutes from beautiful Strasbourg and 1 1/2 hours from charming Colmar, both a must if visiting the region. If you are looking for a beautiful countryside respite, this is your place! We were in the area to visit the Christmas markets in Strasbourg and Colmar. They were extremely crowded, so it was nice to escape to the peace of the countryside after our visits.
