This is a place where we will come back to.

Wonderful house, smack in the middle of this wonderful village. Very friendly host, and we especially loved the garden for a nice breakfast!
Set in the Midi-Pyrenees countryside, this hotel is located on the banks of the River Lot. It features an outdoor swimming pool and a shaded terrace in the garden. This place really was so much better then I expected (and I already expected a lot). Very friendly staff, good breakfast, good location (near everything, beautiful surrounding). The pool was amazing with a nice view on a small mountain. We had a room directly at the pool which was really handy with the small children. I really recommend this hotel ! It was quiet but with a lot of stuff to do around. I would definitely go here again !
Situated in Tour-de-Faure, 1.9 km from St Cirq Lapopie , Auberge des Versanes boasts a restaurant and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant with terrace. The setting was a total pleasure. It was great to be in a bucolic , well-tended lovely environment. The rooms were spacious and brightly decorated. Definitely an upbeat, cheery experience.
Offering an outdoor swimming pool, a shared lounge with a computer and a restaurant, Chambres d'hôtes La Combe de Redoles is located in Tour-de-Faure, 2 km from Saint-Cirq Lapopie. Such a quiet village but well placed for all our exploring. The breakfast was breads and jams so if you like something a little more substantial perhaps buy supplies. We cooked our own scrambled eggs. However, the gite we stayed in was amazing. Fabulous bathroom, very well equipped kitchen and so quiet. Grass to curl our toes in, outside seating and vibe that's a good few notches down from our usual daily routines! The dining room is such a treat. Old artefacts everywhere you look taking on different uses than were intended. We would definitely go back, it was very lovely.
Loved Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. Wonderfully preserved small old village in a beautiful position high above the Lot river. We really only had one day so spent the morning exploring the town and in afternoon we drove to Bouzies and walked the first kilometer of the towpath back to St-Cirq-Lapopie, and we had a tour of Perche-Merle caves. Could have stayed much longer and spent more time exploring the village and the walking paths nearby. Could have also walked the whole towpath and got a boat for the return trip. Pleas note that Perch Merle caves which are amazing and well worth the visit need to be booked well in advance in summer, either on website which I found difficult, or by ringing which was easy. Dont be put off if you can only get a French speaking tour. They give you a booklet with all the information in English. Finally after we left St-Cirq-Lapopie we went south to Najac which is another bastide town and evn better preserved than St-Cirq-. Lapopie. Well worth a visit
We loved our visit to St Cirq Lapopie and had great weather so we enjoyed swimming in the river, as well as walking in the town and surrounds, plus visits to other nearby attractions, particularly Pech Merle. As you can tell from any photo it is quite a steep village and any visit will involve stairs
Truly historic feel to this medieval village. We did the river walk and climbed up to the village. Great views on the climb up across the river valley and from the village itself. Streets can be steep and with cobblestones (as you would expect from a village this old).

Very beautiful property, great setting and amazing pool. The hosts were wonderful and the breakfast was very delicious. We received a free parking ticket to visit Saint-Cirq-Lapopie and the hostess gave us a map and tips about the region. Would definitely recommend this to our friends and family!
