Great selection of restaurants, bars and wineries (including caves) in the town to keep you entertained all evening. Vineyards and tours to enjoy during the day (but little to do in the morning, so make sure your hotel has a good breakfast!). Would recommend two nights (not Sunday or Monday days) for the full experience.

You can walk around this lovely town with bars and tasting rooms all over. Everyone is happy to show you the varieties of local wines that they have and almost all of them ship world wide. You are able to purchase old, new and collectible vintages at very good prices. It is worth the trip if you love big, juicy wines! There are also SO many wonderful restaurants within this town! Le Bistrot du Clocher had the best gazpacho I’ve ever had! Pizza there was great, too. We also had a Michelin Star dinner at Logis de la Cadene. It was 3 hours long and worth every second! The wine pairing with our 10 course dinner was exceptional!

Beautiful village full of character, very tourist orientated and very expensive but with three Michelin star restaurants and numerous chateaux and vineyards it’s maybe expected. The majority of restaurants all have similar menus and pricing so difficult to find anything authentic or a boulangerie/patisserie serving coffee. Although there seems to be a new patisserie about to open at the entrance to the village so maybe next time 😀

The village is beautiful—the Monolithic church is a must see. The tourist information center is very helpful. A nice walk through the vineyards is a pleasant excursion. Skip the ice-cream since it is very expensive and unlike Italy, very small servings.

Three days here would ensure you have time to enjoy the little town, easily accessed by train from Bordeaux. Enjoy lovely restaurants and caves to explore, and take in a winery visit also. Mobility is key here, there are some very steep streets!! I learned more with each wine tasting I did, though you should note that some of the shops will only offer a tasting if you are buying, so it’s best to make your intentions clear at the outset. Best experience was in The Wine Buff - highly knowledgeable husband and wife team with a great selection!!

Beautiful village. Lots to see and do and plenty of history. Good restaurants and bars. The monolithic church was very interesting and the small train ride that included a vineyard tour and tasting was excellent value.

The location is fantastic, an easy walk into town and the beautiful Chateau Soutard with a handy small shop nearby. Everything was perfect in the house - lovely decor, beautiful big garden, the beds were comfy, the kitchen was really well appointed, there was even a brilliant travel cot for our 10 month old who slept very well. We appreciated all the extra touches, like wine & macarons on arrival, very nice shower gel & shampoo in the bathroom. It felt like a high quality hotel with all the privacy of being in your own house.

I can’t imagine there’s a better 2 star hotel in France! Location, cleanliness, breakfast fabulous and ohhh air conditioning when it’s 37 degrees outside! We had booked a family room and were delighted to be given a 2 bedroom mini apartment across road from from main hotel.
