Located in Saint-Pierre-d’Entremont, Le MOULIN des CHARTREUX - 1733 is a converted old stone mill that provides both independent apartments and private guest rooms. We are currently cycle touring through Switzerland and France and stayed and dined at this hotel last night. The owners are a young couple who are extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. I’ll get straight to the point..the restaurant is terrific. The terrace hangs over a beautiful river with the mountains looming in the background. The food is locally sourced and beautifully presented. The wines suggested were reasonably priced and paired well with the food. Breakfast was outstanding. If your in this gorgeous area this is a terrific option for a meal or a overnight stay. We loved it. I think you will also.
Featuring river views, Le Frenola provides accommodations with a balcony and a coffee machine, around 20 miles from SavoiExpo. Excellent view. A very well equipped chalet. Comfortable and warm. Ideal for our purposes exploring a different part of France. The upper sleeping area was fine for our young companions but would prove challenging for the more elderly! Certainly worth a visit.
Offering mountain views, l'Ancienne Ecole du Villard in Saint-Pierre-dʼEntremont has accommodations, a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. We had a great experience, indescribable view, very nice breakfast with nice bread, fruits, vegetable milk (since we are vegetarian), cereals and... an amazing view with dramatic sunsets and awesome sunrises. The hosts are very friendly and it is clear that they love what they do and to do it in the heart of this beautiful mountains. We completely recommend the place and the very kind owners!
GITE AUBERGE L'HERBE TENDRE features a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Saint-Pierre-dʼEntremont. This is a lovely small hotel with a public kitchen you can use, and a restaurant downstairs. The town is an adorable French Alps village, with shops and bakeries etc., plus great walking. They catered to my gluten-free needs at breakfast, too :)
It is a delightful village in the Chartreuse region ,the area is beautiful and if you enjoy driving the roads are great fun. The drive on to Grenoble through Saint Pierre en Chartreuse is a must, you can then pick up the Route Napoleon driving south through Provence to the coast.
