A great night’s stay before cycling over the Col de Tourmalet. Very well suited to cyclists. We rode in, secured our bicycles in the bike storage area, complete with a bike work station. It had been a hot day, so it was straight into the pool for a swim. Followed by beers with a view. We really appreciated having a restaurant on site for both dinner and breakfast. It was a hot night, we were able to open the windows (no aircon). A quiet and peaceful place.

Chalet Ourea is located in a quiet rural area of the French Pyrenees - perfect for our daily outings for hiking. Patrick and Marie Laure are lovely hosts and made us feel most welcome. The views from their property are beautiful and they have alpacas and chickens ! Our room was very comfortable with the bathroom attached. Breakfast in the morning was healthy and generous. Patrick gave us great tips of where to go hiking. Also made reservations for us for dinner in the evening. Thank you, Patrick & Marie Laure for your warm hospitality.
