Set in a planted park, L'Ecrin du Serein dates from 1872 and is located in Sainte Vertu, in the heart of the Burgundy region. An old house lived in by a family and they rent out a room and a common space as well as providing breakfast. Parking is nice too. About 2 hours outside of Paris and there are some very scenic towns nearby. Food was very good although I am not a foodie (I think others would have thought it great). Our hostess was very nice and helpful and knowledgeable about the area and things to see and the artist "colony" in the area. Way more to do than we had time for.

Set in an ancient water mill from the 19th Century, Le Moulin De Poilly offers a garden, a terrace and provides a starting point for cycling and hiking trails. A very nice, quiet and comfortable place. Very friendly owners, who also recommended and booked a restaurant (excellent) for dinner. We only stayed one night in "Borgogna", but it's worth planning another stay!
