Located in Salon-de-Provence, 26 mi from Marseille, B&B HOTEL Salon de Provence features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Free private parking is available on site. Very good value for money. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are not too big, but spacious enough for 2 people. Just a few minutes from the Highway/tollroads. The tollroads can be seen from the windows, but we didn't hear any noise from the trucks/cars at night. Facilities like a supermarket, gas station are less than 2 minutes away by car. Very close to the village, also just a few minutes by car. We used this hotel as a transit and only stayed for the night, there is nothing in the direct vicinity and you shouldn't walk in the evening from or to the hotel. Other than this a would-recommend.

La Maison d'été is a hotel located in the heart of Salon de Provence, just 328 feet from the pedestrian zone. This is family owned business and from the moment I walked in, I felt like part of their family. Their customer service is exceptional, by carrying my suticase up the stairs for me (I packed too much stuff :-)) to providing me an iron so I can iron my work clothes for the week, to even providing me breakfast 45 minutes early as I had to leave early. Price was very reasonable, walking distance to numerous restuarants. Rooms were very spacious, clean and had modern amenities. Although I only stayed here one night, if I am ever in the area again, I would defeinetly stay here again, you won't be disappointed. I am very thankful for their hospitaly and genuine interest to make me feel comfortable. Merci beaucoup.

The owners were very friendly and helpful...and spoke English. Quaint little area, comfortable, overlooking a restaurant and other eateries nearby. Parking was a bit of a hassle though. We were there for a short stay so we did not make it a problem. Good food across the street and around the corner.
The museum at the Château de l'Empéri is a huge surprise. Worth the visit for the quality and number of the uniforms from the Napoleonic era and beyond. It also looks like that their music festival is world class.
After visiting other Provence cities, Salon looks just average. There are no so many attractions in the city. The city looks rather dirty, little bit further from centre. But there are good cloth shops. It seems that it is not a touristic city.
Very charming old city, with street markets on Wednesday mornings and Friday evenings. Interesting castle and musuem of Nostradamus. Among the restaurants there, we like the Indian one the best near the Clock Tower (Tour de l'Horloge). If you go out of town to explore, take the local roads; so much more charming to reach Arles, Baux de Provence, Avignon, St. Remy, etc.
We stayed in Salon-de-Provence because we could stay close to the highway and rooms were much cheaper than other locations. Late evening food options weren't plentiful, but we enjoyed the pizza place we went to.
I've been through Provence before ... simply traveling through while wanting to stop and paint. Well, this trip was to plop and paint. Picking Salon-de-Provence was done without any real knowledge, but turned out to be the most perfect spot to paint, shop, enjoy the market, eat incredible food and enjoy being embraced by the French. Lucky us! Getting to the lavender was achieved by a connection at the Tourist office and a day trip with an incredible driver, Peggy. We were all smiling the whole day. My traveling companions were one of my sisters, one of our daughters and one of our granddaughters. What incredible memories we made, and I have tons of photos to now paint from because simply sitting and painting was silly since there were so many things to see and do. I'll do that now in my art room with all my photo resources. Although I painted pages in my hard covered watercolor book ... I'll now finish the book in my art room with my photo references. We had perhaps the most perfect trip ever ... and I personally have been to Europe about a dozen other times.
Loved the very warm welcome from the manager. We were also very excited to reach air conditioning. The family room that had a twin bed in a separate room from the full bed was perfect for our family. Breakfast was delicious and served in a gorgeous courtyard. We stayed Saturday night and it was deadly quiet. In a good way.Honestly I have booked a lot of hotels for family travel and this was definitely one of my best experiences.
It was superclose to the old centre. The pedestrian zone started right outside the hotel. We had a beautiful room with balcony with a view of the clock tower. Which was a very nice. (bonus: the clock tower woke us up in time for breakfast since we left the window open for fresh air). It is as well a family hotel, which gives it an extra homie touch
staff is very friendly and accommodating. restaurant (good food, wine list … well,… it‘s France) breakfast (it‘s simple but well done) location is good, close to vineyards but you still need a car, close to avignon and arles. the pool. we got a house and not a room in the hotel ( but this was the hotel decision‘s) tennis court.
Clean and functional rooms, all the essentials, helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is close to a few shops and supermarkets, to refill on snacks and supplies before you go back on the road. Wonderful of location, excellent for a stopover during a long roadtrip.
Clean room, comfortable bed, bathroom a little small. Dinner was very good! Location is remote, but for my travels this was nice. Safe parking. Staff was very friendly. Its an all round nice hotel, but wifi needs attention.
