Our favorite hotel, so far, on this trip, and one we would love to return to. This fourth generation family run hotel has true charm, character and elegance. The setting is inspiring. It fully lives up to the high standards of Relais et Chateaux hotels. The restaurant is beautiful and offers fine traditional french cuisine. The breakfasts were spectacular-in the sense that there were plenty of home made breads and pastries, freshly squeezed juice and superior coffee. The latter two are becoming a rarity. All through the hotel, there is attractive art work, furniture and rugs reflecting the history of the establishment..

Room was big enough to comfortably accommodate family of four. Well furnished and decorated, very comfortable beds and soft sparkling white towels. Elegant and yummy breakfast. We were on the go, so we did not use restaurant. Overall, value- price combination is right.

Everything about Ty Mad is spectacular. Staff bends over backwards to accommodate, super-friendly and helpful. Decor throughout the hotel is tastefully artistic, restaurant is five-star. Cuisine inventive, flavorful, makes the most of every single ingredient and delivers delightful and impressive tastes we've never experienced. We'd be so glad to come back!!

We chose this hotel because of the convenient location and fairly low cost. It didn't look very impressive from the outside, but once inside all fears vanished. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Our host grabbed our case from Anne, and took it up the tight stairs ahead of us without needing to be asked. Our smallish room was fine, spotless, and appeared to be newly decorated. A special mention for the shower, one of the best we encountered on our travels. Breakfast next day was exceptional, and the host insisted on boiling perfect fresh eggs himself and brought them to our table with a smile, and there was a lovely view of the port below from the brightly sunlit breakfast room. A bit of a struggle walking down to the port and back later, but we found a good restaurant, and went back to the same place on our second night.
