Easy to stroll around. (no hills to speak of). Walk along the Quay de Fontaines(sp?) to the Cathedral. All illuminated at night. Food near the hotel (steaks) at the Hippopotamus restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Covered market worth a look and the nearby old town full of timber framed buildings where there are lots of coffee shops and restaurants.
Troyes is a fairly small city, and is perfectly walkable. Interesting half-timbered buildings and church interiors (especially the stained glass windows). We spent approximately 3 hours visiting the various historical locations.
A really beautiful small town with exceptional old buildings.much of the old centre is pedestrianised so it is very easy to walk around. Unfortunately I was only there for one night as I was on my way home, but I am now very keen to go for a longer visit
Around every corner is a half timbered Medievil house with ornate carvings , fantastic cathedral , so much of French history took place here.Great night life , nice park area. All in all very well worth a visit , the town itself is lovely , but don't forget then out of town factory shopping centre for designer bargains.
Such a beautiful city with beautiful churches, great dining options. Found a great little wine bar with helpful employees. Rue du Chat was a highlight. Close to many champagne estates. Wish we would have stayed longer.
Food, we ate duck salad in the square - the lovely evening weather helped a lot. The buildings in the old part of town were very interesting and appealing. We were able to walk into town after a long day in the car.

All aspects were great for our stay - a friendly and helpful gentleman staff - recommended a lovely local restaurant in town and took time to show us on the map where to go - room was modern and stylish and all very close to safe parking which is always a problem in a city location. Hotel short walk into town where it would take a few days to see the beautiful Troyes but we had only one afternoon and evening so had a good try. Very pleasant and would return when we come back to France

Very comfortable stay for our family. This was our second visit. We appreciated the fan, as we always seem to visit when it is hot! Wonderful host. Easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment is not only comfortable, but also very cute and nicely decorated with everything one could need. Kids loved the snacks! I highly recommend this property and hope to return again sometime when it is a bit cooler.

The charm, history and helpful staff had us at “Hello.” Olga answered all of our questions (we are history nerds) eagerly and thoroughly. We had to leave for CDG early the next morning, so they got breakfast ready early for us. It was one of the best breakfast spreads we saw over our two week plus stay in France. Private parking across the street in the annex was wonderful.

Charming hotel, small boutique style. Rooms were well presented, clean, and had self catering facilities should you require for a few nights stay. 10 mins walk into Troyes centre. Ample breakfast too. Parking an extra bonus too at no cost. Would definitely recommend.

We had a very good service at Kyriad where the night auditor Mr Paul was very sympathic and welcoming. We were able to have some drinks at the bar late at night. The room was clean and very comfortable. Indeed, it was a very good experience at this hotel in Troyes.

The owners, Letitia & Valery couldn't have been more wonderful. Kind, carring, interesting, dedicated to guests' every comfort. They provided us with daily French lessons, served as guides made reservations and generally are dedicated to ensure the guests are made to feel like wonderful. They know and love their city and proud of their historic home which they saved from ruined and turned into a small paradise with modern comforts. We were there during the height of the super heat wave of 2018. Our hosts made sure to transfer us from the lovely apartment we had selected to another that was equally beautiful but with better air conditioning. We loved the garden, the rooms (actually apartments), decor, Letitia's country fresh breakfast, great Wifi and Valery's daily French lessons. Thank you to a brilliant and dedicated couple. We aim to return soon as we loved Troyes and it's history and we love and admire our hosts and dare I say, new and dear friends. We strongly recommend Troyes and specially Le Jardin de la Cathédrale for it's beauty and comfort and for Letitia and Valery.

This hotel was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was very good. There was easy parking but you had to walk a little bit. One block and across 2 streets. But, the parking was free if you leave by 9AM. We left before breakfast so I can't comment on that. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was good. We had a balcony overlooking the street. The best part is the hotel is a few minutes walk from the old town area of Troyes. There are so many great restaurants in that area it is a problem of which one to eat at. The food was amazing and the deserts were great. The old city area is very beautiful with the old buildings and architecture. You definitely need to see this area and explore it a bit. There is also some beautiful churches to see. Please don't forget the local bakery and have a lot of French Pastries. They are simply amazing. Wow!! I will for sure come back. The French know how to cook!!!!
