It’s one of the premiere ski resorts for a reason. Huge ski area, that never disappoints. We have skied Val for over 16yrs, and always find ourselves coming back. A few of the livelier places in town have disappeared over the last few years so it’s not quite the Apres ski town it used to be. But as we are getting older we don’t miss them as our days of being out all night are behind us. From working whole seasons in France and Switzerland Val D’isere definitely provides. The valley traps snow meaning it’s snow sure. The espace Killy has a great ski area for all levels although the ski area doesn’t offer a lot of ski in ski out and the only way from Tignes is either le face or le daille. We had the dinner included in our booking, which made life so much easier at the end of the day. The options for food were always good (starters, main course and desert). The hotel is right next to a free bus stop. Geeting to the ski lifts was very easy and would take only a few minutes. It was lovely and quiet as the hotel doesn’t have many rooms, which meant the spa facilities weren’t busy either. Having a hot bath outside in the snow in summer was a great addition. The rooms were really comfortable and clean, with everything you could need. Staff were all helpful. The breakfast had plenty of choice.
