Résidence les Valmont is located in Vaujany, in the Alpes d’Huez Ski Resort, 164 feet from the chair elevators. It has a sauna and its heated apartments feature a TV and an equipped kitchenette. Large apartments, easily accessible from the main ski station in vaujany. We had a great stay
Set in Vaujany, Appart’hôtel Chalet La Fedora - Appartements de charme has well-equipped accommodations boasting free WiFi, a 2-minute walk from Vaujany-Villette Ski Elevator and an 8-minute walk from... Heaven on earth. This place is incredible. The chalet has everything you can possibly need to feel comfortable - fully equipped, kitchenware is quite impressive, great beds, cozy fireplace. The location is stunning, the views of the mountain are breath taking and the balconies are quite spacious. We were a family of 4 with small children and there's nothing missing really. The staff is so kind and service minded, Natalia even got us a Christmas tree and Christmas decorations. Vaujany is a wonderful small ski village, true beauty of the mountains and a privilege to visit.

Chalet La Maitreya offers rooms with a balcony or views over the Valley leading to the slopes of Les Grandes Rousses, Alpe-D'Huez. It is located in Vaujany. Our stay at La Maitreya was really great! The location is beautiful, the rooms are perfect sized and James and Whitney were great hosts! There are hotels and apartments that treat you well and be kind for you but La Maitreya gives you more than just hospitality, it's the next level of hostmanship! Also they will recommend all kinds of places were you can eat, but honestly, the best dinner you will have in this area is at La Maitreya!!
Beautiful location, and near-perfect weather while we were there; locals and staff all quite friendly and it felt less impersonal than some big resorts I have been to; lots of skiing, and we progressed to black runs by the end of the week; except at peak times at the start or end of the day we never waited long for a ski lift. My son had lessons with ESF and grudgingly thought they did improve his skiing. Night life was sufficient for a family with school age teenagers but wouldn't be enough for the young singles crowd. Make sure to book your restaurants in advance. Getting there was slightly tricky; Ben's Bus only goes to a stop about 15k from Vaujany (Rochetaille), but we got a taxi easily enough from there (Alp Assistance taxi were very friendly and helpful, and sorted out our return to Rochetaille for us too). If you are self-catering, the main supermarket is the small Sherpa one near the top of the village, which was fine for the basics. We would definitely go back. Our main stress planning the trip was about COVID (my son missed his first dose of vaccine because he had COVID at the time) but we had proof of his one dose and previous infection on the NHS app. Jet2 made a bit of a song and dance about this when we checked in on the way out, but we had no issues when this was (rarely) checked while we were in France.
the resort is probably good only in the ski season, in the off-season there is no open food store and no cable car/ teleferic or no-open functional entertainment facilities . If you want to enjoy nature, hiking and isolation is good
Cute little place surounded with beautiful mountains and waterfalls. Vaujany has all things you need, from shops and pool to ice rink, cinema and restaurants. Parts of the town are conected by escalator. People are nice and freandly
Great winter resort for families. Modern infrastructure and impressive facilities in a welcoming village atmosphere. Small but with something for nearly everyone. Ideal for families or those who don't need wild nightlife!
Vaujany is great , lots going on the tourist information centre , was very helpful spoke English and suggested great places to watch the Tour de France . Fantastic area for cyclist .steifs was great for food and beer and the bakery for breakfast ! The cable cars run all year with easy access to Alpe d’huez . Having been 3 times in the summer Saving up to return to see the snow and the change in the landscape .
First of all the owners. Their hospitality and helpfulness. They are really friendly and they’ll give you good information about the area and anything you ask for. The breakfast with a really delicious and fresh croissant, good coffee and etc. The location for skiing is also good, just 6 minutes drive from Vaujany big gondola, which takes you to Alpe d’Huez ski resort. otherwise you need to drive for 38 minutes to reach Alpe d’Huez ski resort. The location is good for hiking as well. There is a parking on site.
The hosts answered all our queries before arrival and let us get on with our holiday with no interference when we stayed. The apartment was large based on previous rentals in Vaujany and alpe d'huez. The alert net was very clean and quiet and comfortable with excellent kitchen facilities and even a fresh packet of filter coffee waiting for us, we loved it and hope to return.
The staff is very helpful and tried her best to resolve our problems. The residence is close to commerical and sport facilites, with great landscape (not only the fall, but also you can see milkway from the terrasse in summer night). You can park the car under the residence, or by the residence, in fact you don't need it during the stay.
Location was very good, bottom door in chalet appartments opened up onto walkway between pub and pizzeria, only a short walk from the ski lift area. The village is very well laid out despite being on a very steep site - getting around helped with escalators and great lift to swimming / ice skating area.
the resort is probably good only in the ski season, in the off-season there is no open food store and no fonctional cable-car /teleferic or neither open entertainment facilities, and not even human presence. If you want to enjoy nature, hiking, isolation and tranquility is very good
Love the apartments (they have great taste, all the necessary appliances and even provide basic stuff like soap, olive oil), staff was incredibly kind, hotel is gorgeous with breathtaking views! It has everything to facilitate an amazing holiday
Beautifully furnished, spacious and comfortable flat in an excellent location - only a few minutes to the lifts and centre of the village. Lovely balcony with stunning views across the valley. Would definitely return!
Awesome view, new appartment, very well equiped although we had chosen not to cook ourselves (only prepare breakfast) and had dinner at a restaurant. (Free) parkingplace for our 2 cars.
The whole apartment. The living room/kitchen/diner has great views across and down the valley and enough comfy chairs to relax. The village of Vaujany is a lovely place to stay.
Host were so lovely. We had the best meals we've eaten in France at the chalet, James is an excellent chef. I would come back for that alone.
