we spent a few days for a weekend at Annecy. it was sunny day with the beautiful landscape and calm atomosphere, that's a perfect destination which is good to spend a relaxing holiday with friends, family, couple. you can eat nice fromage in savoy religion and the beer of savoy was good too.
Restaurant Villa du Lac has good food and a nice terrasse with a view of the lake. Rather steep slope down to the lake from the main road. Easy connection by watertaxi to Annecy. Beautiful drive along the shore of the lake, also possible by bike.
It's quite a small place - dominated by the lake and mountains both of which are just beautiful. You need a car to explore but there is free parking on site. It's within easy reach of Les Aravis ski region - particularly La Clusaz, Le Grand Bornand etc (c 25 mins) and if you are willing to to a bit further (1 hour) Megeve. Determined skiers can also get to the Three Valleys and Chamonix within 90 minutes. We had a great "Tour de Ski" for 5 days. If you plan to do something similar - book your parking online ahead of time - get as close to the station as possible (which is usually adjacent to the ski lifts) and get your ski passes ahead of time. A little preparation will save you a lot of time and effort when you would prefer to be on the slopes. There is a plethora of sports nearby - activities on the lake, parapente, biking etc etc
Well worth a visit..stunning village location ,beautifully landscaped on all private and roadside locations..Extremely clean everywhere, with obvious pride being shown by the locals . Main through road can get busy ,but that is the same for any of the roads around Lake Annecy .
Very picturesque village sitting on Lake Annecy, excellently located with easy access to Annecy and La Clusaz via local bus service Selection of restaurants limited but all excellent quality albeit expensive
