The town is very pretty, it’s well cared for.
The town is very pretty, it’s well cared for. Unfortunately there was major upgrades taking place all around the famous spa / thermal fountains so these were closed. Many restaurants are closed Monday - Weds making the remainder very busy (book in advance, especially for those along the river).

The parc des source is under major restoration and is a miserable building site. There are many good restaurants in Vichy. The sources are interesting. The church is a monstrous confection of modernism and someone’s deranged artistic ability.

Lovely town with an interesting if troubled history. We were there twice this summer, doe overnight family travel stops. Lovely park by the lake and good shopping, wining and dining. A choice of good hotels and restaurants.

Stunning art-deco town. Relaxing, classy, stylish; especially for anyone interested in beautiful buildings/architecture. Wonderful shopping, cheap prices - great value. We hired a car and parked in the centre of town for €8 per 24 hours. Cafés and brasseries and a huge range of food restaurants for evening meals. Theres a "son-et-lumier" show on currently every evening at the Palais de Congrais, which is highly recommended. Brilliant.
